I believe the Colt Competition line is the one contracted out and not even made by Colt. I would look elsewhere.

You could do a build using a ballistic advantage barrel with a sub MOA guarantee for less than $700 with decent parts

I would avoid it , it is not a real Colt and from this link it is over stock of a out of business manufacture/builder may not even have a warranty that would be honored

Too bad, all the comments from people who have one seem to be very positive. Of course the question is, why would Colt allow them to put their name on their products? One of the comments, not verified, is that this company was also building the Colt Expanse.

Colt needs money for sure , they are a ship taking on water they are coming out of filling bankruptcy and have lost their military contract only time will tell colts future,

If Colt cold find an investor with a billion dollars they would find a way to screw that guy out of 90% of his money. The only people at Colt making any money are the hedge fund owners, not the investors, if they have any left.

They still build a decent 1911 tho. I have a few new ones.
