I just got this in my University E-mail. It is kind of gun related in that you CANNOT carry guns on college Campuses. So because of this another person had to be sexually assaulted. It really annoys me. What annoys me even more is this happened in IDAHO!!! Where Concealed and Open carry is Ok but Campuses you can't carry.
Here is that e-mail that I got.
Crime Alert
On Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at approximately 9:40 p.m., at the Freeman Park
gravel parking lot near the entrance to Science Center Drive at
University Place, (Idaho State University, Idaho Falls Campus) a female reported that she was sexually assaulted by two males of unknown description. The incident is being investigated by
the Idaho Falls Police Department. There are no suspects thus far.
If you have any information that might assist the Idaho Falls Police in
this investigation please contact the Idaho Falls police at 529-1200 or
Public Safety at 282-2515.
Safety Tips:
Take extra care in being aware of your surroundings.
Park your vehicle in a lighted area when ever possible.
Walk together in a group when possible.
Report any suspicious activity to Public Safety.
Call for a safety escort, 282-2515

Under these the final statement is;
The university will not attempt to regulate weapons that are stored in vehicles unless their storage becomes a safety concern. Such situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
