Aside from the odd - oddly *greyish* gun.... ALL of mine, favorite or otherwise are as ALL heavy metal should be: "The Black and Silver".
So, if I were to think of "Black Guns" I tend towards polymer of which I have very few from having had very many.
This one stands out. Solidly in the "love to hate/hate to love" vein of ownership.
First off, it is important to note that I significantly dislike, bordering on irrationally hate, Glocks both aesthetically and how the trigger works as well as what is NOT incorporated in the design.
Still, they come my way if a sale mandates that I buy a couple of things which I might not want in order to get the couple of somethin's I DO want.
In that manner, many-few Glocks have been mine even if grudgingly owned. Some I should have kept like the 10mm but the rest are gone and, good riddance.
Which brings us to this pugnacious little beast.
This is actually the THIRD one I have owned and the other two are the only Glocks I have regretted selling - other than the 10 - out of the whole passel.
You see, for whatever reason - and I have fired EVERY Glock I have owned - these little 30s shock me every damn time as to how well I shoot them. Almost ZENNING the bullets to impact. And still, some fella will offer me too much for me to keep them. Then, this one came my way. A bit of a trigger job, a lasermax laser with its attendant wonderful spring, exceptional night sights and even a cheap though well made Glock light.
This hideous little monster is quite often, my *bump in the night* flashlight now and likely for a very long time to come.
So then, if I disregard more highly favored guns that I own because of their basic color. Hold my interpretation to polymer and choke on my choice a little bit.... I kinda, gotta present this nasty brick as favorite *black gun* as I see the term applied.
Glock may feel free to re-print my endorsement of this firearm at any time as long as it is used in its entirety.
Todd.
