For Those Who Are Brand Loyal...

My brand loyalty stems from first hand experience with that particular brand.
I will admit what I hear about them plays a small part in my opinion, if it is creditable information.

Brands 'n me...

Brands have never been an issue for me. Kinda like the way I vote: I look for what a candidate stands for, and that is how I vote. Not a party. Anyway, the brands that I have seen put out more consistent pistols are Beretta, Ruger, Springfield Armory, and of course Glock. I don't own a Glock anymore, because I don't enjoy shooting one. Just preference, that's all. I mainly use an old Springfield 1911 that I lovingly customized, and mostly likely will trade in one of my seldom used pistols this weekend for an XD service model or .45 compact as a carry gun, 'cause I like the way it points, and the grip is fairly thin for what it is. I don't particularly like the trigger, but found out there's a kit available to greatly change it. Soo... I'm game!

Colt, and to a lesser degree S&W. I grew up during the 50's and 60's. Read all the gun magazines of the day. These where the top brands and the top quality. Colt for auto pistols and Smith for revolvers.
I have tried numerous brands over the years, but nothing has ever felt as right as these two. They are what I have confidence in, so they are what I carry and keep.

+1 on above

I'm not "brand loyal". I have different brands. I seem to have more Rugers than anything else, though. I grew up in the 60s reading all the gun rags, too. I own one Smith and no Colts. :D

Lessee, off hand, Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Taurus, Kel Tec, Rossi, Grendel, NAA, and a few others and guess what? They all work.
