This morning my Uberti '51 Navy returned from Goon's Gun Works.

When I purchased it from Cimarron, the gun wasn't too bad overall, the arbor length was wrong of course, but I epoxied a couple washers in the arbor hole to correct that.

After having gotten it back, however, I can now see a HUGE improvement to the action- it is smooth as butter, light, and everything locks up bank vault tight. My decent revolver has been transformed into an exceptional one. Can't wait to get out and shoot it again.

Great work, Mike.

JNO1, thank you !!! It's a really nice Navy. I would recommend REM.#10 caps. The action can be pretty much left alone as far as cleaning. Just clean the barrel and cylinder like normal. A wipe down of the frame and hammer/hammer slot and that should be all your cleaning chores.
The bolt screwpin is marked with a notch so you can keep them with their respective parts/places. As far as loads, shoot anything you want . . . full house Trip7 is fine (prob. not the most accurate but definitely fun!!).

Thanks for the tip on the bolt screw. The gun shoots well with 21gr of Goex 3f, and I have a lifetime supply of it, so I'll probably stick with that load.
