Hi to all (long time lurker here and on TFL)

No one mentioned "Wesson". For a guy he could be nicknamed "Wes". Could be the salad oil, for all anyone is concerned, but we know better!!

Dan might be a possiblity too, Danielle for a girl.... One of each would be "Dan" and "Wesson"

Smith is also commonly used as a middle name.

When our boys were born I wanted in the worst way to name one of them William Charles, so his initials would be "W.C." after W.C. Fields. Got nixed.

Great board!!!

My grandson picked up the nickname "Boomer",from his father, supposedly for the sound he makes when he loads his diaper.Looks like it's going to stick, too.
What's going to stick - the name, or the contents of the diaper?

:neener: :p :D

I think Kimber is a very nice name for a girl. It's feminine sounding...but it packs a punch! And, I'm very fond of the name Mikhail for a boy...I have a real soft spot for AKs.

I also like the name Barrett...a 50 cal can be a real blast! Then there's Christian, (which could be used for a boy or a girl) for Christian Sharps who developed the first truly practical, single-shot, breech-loading system for long arms.

lol i'm surprised nobody's mentioned this one so far (i think). I think the best name I've heard is Buckshot Jones, especially when he drove the Remmington car :D

I do not have any children but I have a pig named Glock and a cat named gunpowder!

My second son is due basically any time now.

We went through a million names, but right now, we both like:

Kyle Magnum Rees

Dylan Wyatt Rees is a possible second choice.

My wife is 6' and I am 6'5" and our boys are going to be HUGE.

I can just hear the anouncer at his basketball and football games screaming about the unstoppable "Kyle Magnum" :D

My 2 year olds name is Ronan and his grandpa calls him "Ronan the barbarian" which I can also hear as he mows through the other teams offense.

The best part is - my wife is totally cool with Magnum as a middle name - w00t!

btw - Kyle means "handsome" and of course, Magnum means "big" so it just fits.

Our twins are now 6 weeks old but some of the better names that I came up with that my wife didnt reject instantly (ie. Smith and Wesson or Heckler and Coch:rolleyes: ) were Hunter and Barret. I like them. I like to hunt and I want a Barret M82A1 (I believe it is).

It's amazing how little sense of humor women have when it comes to the prospect of naming kids. I showed my girlfriend this thread when she asked what I was laughing about. She just stood there with a "that is so not funny" look. :neener:

John Moses does have a nice ring to it.... but if I ever have children, I'll have a list of good names like this.

What woman wouldn't want a child named "Hunter Thompson"? :D

Girl names

How about Casey? Or Ceska? Astra? LeBelle? Moly? M'lisha? (I worked with a M'lisha once-pretty girl!). Winnie, Aguila, Tula, FrangaBelle? NoRA? Kevla. Flechette!

Yes, I am out of ideas-how could you tell?

And, don't forget the name Liberty.

If you like reloading - what about RCBS? Just kidding:p But I think Dillon would make a great boys name. Sig, also sounds like a good one.

Kimberly
Kimber sounds like a winner.

how about Beretta though, perhaps too obvious but it could just as easily be about your chevy beretta and she could go by Beri for short.

Bersa, Astra, Star all sound good too.
