I think you are correct, I am a lightweight - for a gun board.
Relative to the rest of the population, I’m far from a lightweight
. Pretty much every other hunter at deer camp has one rifle. I show up at camp with 3 rifles, and pick a rifle for where I’m hunting that day. In the woods - short and light (300 Blackout). In the bean field, my long range but heavier and somewhat unwieldy rifle (7mm RM). And maybe a medium range set up (6.5 Grendel) for if I set up at the edge of a slew and might get a longer shot, but don’t want something heavy to carry. Of course there is my duck gun, my goose gun, my grouse gun and my pheasant gun. My bedside gun. My EDC gun. My backup EDC gun. My plinking guns. My I’ll never sell inherited guns. My just because guns and finally, a collector gun.
You are also correct that I have a problem, I do feel I NEED to get more (they are on “The List”).
I’m a THR lightweight because of a house addition, daughters’ activities, family vacations and everything that goes with those. With that qualifier, for those in similar shoes, I think I’m doing pretty good
.
