You would be just as well served with Glock 21.

That comment simply and concisely brings us back to what I said earlier. "TOTAL NONSENSE!"
So I would be just as well served with a Glock 21? Lets think about that. The HK 45 has different ergonomics, that suit me better than a Glock. You can never give someone advice on ergos because everyone's hands are different. What works for one person may not work for the next. To me, a Glock feels like holding onto a toy with a god awful hump hitting the bottom of my hand. I'm glad it works well for you.
The aesthetics suits me far better on the HK than on a Glock, as I find Glocks to be blocky and unattractive. Again, you can't tell someone they would be served just as well with something they have not chosen in this regard, as it is based on personal preference.
Then we get into the manual of arms. The HK 45 is a hammer fired gun with, on my version, an external safety and decocker. It can be carried cocked and locked, and has DA and SA capabilities. The Glock 21 is a striker fired gun, with one mode of operation. The two guns are totally different in that regard.
My large hands do not enjoy push button magazine releases like on Glocks as the tip of my trigger finger tends to get hit by it when the gun recoils. So I greatly prefer the paddle release on HK guns. Again, personal preference so saying a Glock will serve me just as well makes no sense at all, since you have no idea what my needs are.
So the only things an HK45 and a Glock 21 have in common are that they both use polymer frames, they both use polygonal rifling, and they both have a blackened finish to them. Otherwise, they function differently, look different, and are completely different in the way they fit in the hand, which is a major individual choice as we all have different needs.
If the discussion would be between a Glock and XDm, or M&P, you may have a point. If you had told me I'd be just as well served by an FNX45, you may have a point as they share the same manual of operation. But to make the statement you did, is meaningless. It isn't even and apples to oranges comparison. It's an apples to iceberg lettuce comparison.
Glocks are fine weapons that will serve you well, IF THEY SUIT YOU. The same can be said for HK's and many particular guns. But telling someone you know nothing about that a particular gun will serve them just as well, simply because you have decided it is a better value completely ignores that fact that other people have other needs, and WANTS than you have.
