Hello Everyone! I know this has been asked before so I apologize, but some of us like to read and participate in such discussions. The question is: if you could only have only one handgun for the rest of your life, which gun would you choose? Personally, I would probably choose the G17, although I hesitate between it and one of the CZ-75 models precisely because of the steel/metal frame, which may still be better in the long run and when the gun may serve as an heirloom. Although I wouldn't mind if it was a 92, P226, or USP. What would you choose?

May be boring but a Glock 17 Gen 5. I have one and shoot it quite often, I love it.
I doubt this will surprise anyone, but I have to go with my Shield Plus.

That’s awesome, I just ordered one today.
I hope it works for you. I have carried Shields for 6 or 7 years. I’ve pretty well settled on it for good, as far as I can see.

I think it is a good choice. There are pistols I definitely like more but if I can only have one it would be the Glock 17. Here are the reasons:One one Gun and you guys pick the most boring cheap thing ever!
1. Reliability; they just work, plus the magazines are very reliable
2. Not too large to carry, but large enough to shoot quickly
3. Ammunition cost, I have 44 Special, 357 Magnum, 45 ACP guns I like as much if not more, but none are as cheap to shoot or have the same ammo availability
4. Widespread use; parts and magazines are readily available.
5. Optics cut; not going to cut up a Pre 27 to mount an Acro

in that case… COLT 1911 in Gods Caliber .45!

It shoots like a full sized pistol with the 13 round extended magazine:
And it carries very nicely with the flush 9 round magazine:
i like .45 acp as a universal, soft shooting, do most anything hand gun cartridge.

I prefer a revolver to a pistol.
My favorite is my no dash 4" 686 I hand picked out of a shipment of 20. I also high-graded the best set of concalo grips in the bunch. It was my only fringe benefit.
