Well, here we go. Shot with a stock Savage 12 FV in .243, Leupold 3-9 x 40 VX-I, 100 yds, sand bags on a bench. 100 gr Hornady round nose soft point handloads. I have a couple of other pet loads for this rifle, so hopefully I'll be back for more.

I'm having trouble getting decent resolution On Target files to save, but hopefully this will show up OK.

On Target measures this group at 0.648", 0.619 moa.

THANKS, Klineia. Hopefully more to come (from all of us). P51D

oops... i read the rules after i shot :) my scope was on 20x.

hair over 1/2 moa at 200 yrds. only 5 rounds i shot at 200 today. all the rest were at 50 yrds over a chrono, as i'm working up new loads with the lapua 139 scenars. i was using berger 140 target vld

my target (edit:fixed the link)

i shot off a bench w/bipod today, which i hate doing
caliber is 260 AI

i'm pretty happy with this load, as i earlier chrono'd four rounds at 3047, 3048, 3046, 3048.

I'm going to take Bruiser out tomorrow and I'm going to have to be careful to not do the same thing.

What kind of .260 do you have? When it comes time to rebarrel the .308 (aka Bruiser) I may switch to .260. Only problem is the cost and availability of ammo vs. .308.

We'll put you in your own class for now.

Here's another from my Savage 12 FV in .243, Leupold 3-9 x 40 VX-I, 100 yds, sand bags on a bench. This time shooting Sierra Match Kings 70 gr hollow point boat tails. On Target has this one at 0.556", 0.531 moa.

I'll hopefully be posting a few more.

Took the .308 to a 300 yard range that is about an hour away today. This is the first time that I have shot past 100 yards. I shot three five shot groups that were between 1.3 and 1.4 MOA. The last group was .95 MOA. Not particularly good, but when I can't see the target without magnification...

Wind varied a lot but was generally in my face and maybe a bit right to left.

Way to go, Klineia. Now I'm wanting me some longer yardage, and a new scope, and maybe another rifle to play with, and . . . . . :D

I went out and shot for group today too, but I just noticed the rule on scope power.
All I have is a fixed 20X...:banghead:

Guess I'm out:(

Post it anyway. I'll put you and Taliv in a class by yourself.

Ok, thanks. Here is what I got. Remington 700 .30-06 BDL, Sightron 20x42, off bipod and rear bag prone. 155 SMK Palma, Varget, PMC primer, LC68 brass.

Not too great, but, also, not bad for an old hunting rifle.

Load developing for a F-class match because I ran out of my usual 155 Amax's. I think I'll mess with seat depth and try and pull em in closer.:)

Would've loved to have posted a group like this one... .350 inches edge to edge at 100 m with a 6 BR.

Unfortunately dont have an opportunity to go to the range or ammo loaded up currently. :(:(

Afy,
I am going to build a 6br off a Savage target action. What are the details of your 6br? Barrel, action, load, bullet?
I have an 8twist 24" mcgowin, and plan on shooting 107 smk's. Hope to get at least 2800fps. Think it will push?

I'm going out this weekend and will make sure to do a group for this!

I can't figure out how to get ontarget to display the distance to POA though...

Hi all,

I spent a delightful lunch hour at the range with a ham sandwich and my Remington R700 R5 today. I'm shooting a new load, 165gr HPBT over 41.5 gr IMR 4895 at 100 yards. I measure 0.71 in. center to center. As with the RF shoot, I always seem to toss one high.

Going to shoot some hogs this weekend with this rig. :)
