Interesting (Beretta Carbine)

I'm on the record as being a big fan of PCCs. Where I live I have a membership at an indoor range that allows pistols and PCCs but not true rifles. So I can blast away with my CX4 Storm 9mm carbine and my HK USC .45 ACP carbine as much as I want, but I don't have a place to shoot a rifle.

I have my Storm set up with a 650 lumen light and a RDS for home defense. While I acknowledge it's less potent than a 5.56 rifle it's more powerful than the same round out of one of my sidearms. Depending on the load the velocity can be 25% higher out of the 16" barrel of the Storm vs the 4"-ish barrels of any of my HK pistols. It's also a lot easier to hit something with a carbine vs a sidearm.

The Storm does have a pretty lousy trigger. Eventually I'll probably ship it off to Sierra Papa for some upgrades (new trigger, hammer and some other go-fast goodies). But it's still easy to shoot accurately, and it has been completely reliable so far.
