Justice officials in "Panic Mode" over failed Gun Program

Let me guys tell ya the average Hispanic on the street knows nothing of nor do they care about the BATF's involvement on this matter. They all staunchly believe that this is a case of the US government arming in their words "terrorists" in order to overthrow the Mexican government and set up a US satellite state south of the border.

It certainly looks like that's what they were doing.

Fox news:

In a surprise move in a controversial case, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona is opposing a routine motion by the family of murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry to qualify as crime victims in the eyes of the court.

However in this case, U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke argues because the family was not "directly or proximately harmed" by the illegal purchase of the murder weapon

Hummmmm

"Burke refused comment when asked why he opposed the family’s motion and his possible conflict of interest."

Oh! But the antis want gun manufacturers and dealers held responsible for violence committed with the guns that they make and sell legally...open to wrongful death suits by the victimized families.

Every time one of these idiots opens his mouth, it seems that he shoots himself squarely in the foot. I hope that somebody is sharp enough to make that observation and bring it up during the hearings.

Isn't the trial in question a criminal case? Those are different circumstances than a civil case.

The same mentality applies. Two sets of rules. One for us and one for them.

If a man dies as a result of a criminal act...such as an armed robber who is shot by the intended victim...then his co-conspirators are charged with murder. No?

He ran/knew/directed/had his hand in the cookie jar/ the operation in Arizona so he is open to a civil lawsuit by the family if my feeble understanding of the situation is correct. May all those who committed wrongful deeds be exposed and the blind scale of justice applied fairly and justly "equally for all" under the law.

Let's try this.

NeverWinter...If you...in a private transaction...sell and
deliver a legally-owned gun to a known violent offender, and you have reasonable suspicion that he will use that gun during the commission of a felony...and the gun is
traced back to you through the 4473 form...would you
reasonably expect to be held criminally accountable and
possibly co-responsible for anyone who is hurt or killed?

The BATFE knew where the guns were going. The Justice Department knew where the guns where going. For all we know, the president himself knew where the guns were going...and probably did.

Why should all these people not be held liable in the murder committed with one of those weapons? You or I would be. Why not them?

Oh, but 1911Tuner, my goal was to determine who the kingpin of the crime ring is so I can report them to the authorities. So... that makes it okay, right? Never mind that I have no intention of actually following the guy back to the criminals' lair.

They aren't even held accountable when they actually pull the trigger.

Faith?

To renew your faith in the system . . .

Yes, because the form and nature of the two events are so similar.

There is at least a single layer of irony here.

And I'm guessing more like two layers.

But I'm cynical like that.

Sometime I worry that my posts aren't being fully appreciated. But then I read something like this and my worries go away. :)

Apparently, cocaine is involved as well. This may help to explain some of the thought processes involved in the creation of F&F.

This tells you a lot about who they are. I don't think they are idiots (well not all :p ), I think they are rotten to the core.

This is more like it in my opinion.

It's good that Fox hasn't dropped the story. It's very bad that they are resorting to out and out ... I don't even know what to call it. Tyranny? When they don't even pretend like they give a crap about anything good, fair, lawful.

I read an article along those lines today also.

It isn't the first time for the CIA that cocaine/arms smuggling has been alleged. Most people probably remember or know about Iran Contra, which had them supplying guns for cocaine which is alleged to have ended up in Los Angeles coinciding with the crack cocaine epidemic at that time. Then I believe they took the gargantuan cocaine profits and bought weapons for Iran... allegedly of course.

The cocaine connection was being made in a prisonplanet article, pointing out that the CIA plane that crashed with lots of cocaine was being flown by a Sinaloa cartel member (the ones they are alleged to have been arming), among other points.

Holder has taken the U. S. Justice Dept. so deep into the gutter, I'm surprised there have not been more resignations by asst. U. S. attorneys, out of disgust. Right now there is a cloud of shame hanging over that department. Disgraceful.

That's two for the price of one. More justification for the War on Drugs (with bonus profits off the budget), as well as the war on gun owners.
Both part of the broader war on American citizens, which is the real war that they are waging in my opinion.
