Interesting question. I shot a friend's G43 a bunch before buying a 365. Glock feels slimmer, but that's expected. I prefer the 365's "standard" grip angle over the 43's, but I shoot a lot of 1911s; sorry, but Glock and 1911 are mutually exclusive in my book for that reason. 365 is sproingy-sounding when dry firing, but the trigger is pretty crisp and the reset is nice. How's your grip strength? The 365 slide was very difficult for my wife to manipulate with a full mag (which are a PITA to load).

Downside of the 365 is the demand is so high the out of box quality suffers. Mine wouldn't run with the mags that came with the gun, so I sent them back to Sig. Replacements were better, but the followers in the "revolutionary" mags suck: rounds cock and tilt and feeding isn't 100%. I got some aftermarket machined followers from Lakeline and that fixed the problem, but that shouldn't be necessary. The rear sight was also way off, so I had to knock that into place so it would hit POA.

I know they're in the fourth or fifth iteration of P365's and I don't think they're done with the changes. Mags are a problem, but Sig is very good about fixes, etc. Just hate being without my EDC while it's back at the factory getting fixed (again). Much to be said for the 43 there...

I don't trust the 365 enough to carry it yet. If it ever hits the 1K round count without a cleaning or hiccup I'll think about it.

I carry a Walther PPS M2 (in a Crossbreed Mini-Tuck). Seriously, give it a look.

Pick what you want. I went in to buy hi cap plastic pistol and came out with revolver made of aluminum and titanium alloys. The trick is to buy a gun for yourself not for someone else. Life is wonderful.

which would you prefer, a sigsauer with 10 + 1 or Glock 43 7+1 and why?

I think it would depend partially on how you want to carry it. The SIG will fit in most front pockets, the GLOCK will not.

Also, if you want an external safety the P-365 is now available with one. The GLOCK does not have that option.

The capacity of the SIG is greater but not enough to be a concern.

The 365 fits my smaller hands well. The factory sights are better too.

I like then both.

I currently carry a 42.

With either of the choices you WIN!

I have around 1000 round so far no issues, the circumstances I read about were on blogs and hear say....the few actual data were not enough to say that sig has a huge issue

I dont read gun blogs and have no clue what you are talking about there.

I have seen people on various forums reporting round count and breakages, including pictures of said breakages and the CS journey afterwards, which has seemingly been pretty good.

Of course, like what you like, I'm simply giving the opinions asked for in the OP

Funny, I have not had any of the issues you describe with the 365

Agreed. I'm pretty surprised to hear people complain about the mags being hard to load. The 2 that came with my 365 were shockingly easy to load to capacity. I was, frankly, expecting them to be a pain to load considering the size to round count ratio.

I agree, both will do the job...and I do like both also!!

Good thoughts mate, I actually have both but I was curious?

Good info, I’ve never owned a Walther.....I will look into it though, so far I haven’t had any issues with the sig or the 43 but you never know. Cheers!!

I have what I suspect is a second-generation P365 and have never experienced any of the problems attributed to it. So here's hoping I just have a good gun.

However they have had some tough problems at first, and I don’t trust their reliability and durability yet.
Eh, the people have spoken (P365 buyers/owners/shooters) and it definitely appears that all the pistols produced after May 2018 are good to go. The brand-specific internet forums seem to have reached consensus as well. We've met with some SIG reps and we T&E'ed the heck out of a lot of SIG pistols a few months ago, and I also trust what I've heard and what I've experienced, so count me onboard with both the P-320 and the P-365.

Glock's reputation for reliability and the P365's reputation for lack of reliability would be another.
If you said for the P-365s teething pains and striker issues with some guns I could go along as that being a deterrent, but reliability? No one has complained about that, they almost universally say how dependable it is with all types of ammo.

It really boils down to which one the particular person looking to buy likes. Especially now that it seems the whatever bugs it may have had have been worked out with the P-365.

And if someone IS having an issue loading mags - and this is for any semi - get the Uplula loader; it works GREAT! (Best Tony the Tiger voice)

Indeed. Just bought one for my father as he sometimes struggles loading the 10 round 9mm mags for his Wilson. I dont have issues with it, but if it gets him to shoot more, money well spent.

I find the first couple of rounds a little bit of a PIA to get in the P-365 mags, but then it is easy all the way to full. Not a big issue. But yes, Uplulas are great.

I usually only use mine when I'm jamming a bunch of hi cap mags for especially long strings or drills.

It's just much faster than my thumbs.

But if I'm shooting for small groups I usually only load 5 at a time anyhow, or any of my 1911s (which load so easy anyway for me) I dont bother taking the lula out of my range bag.

G43 in my collection. I want to want a P365, but reports of problems have not yet subsided and in some ways seem to be getting worse. Last month on another forum a gunshop posted that 1/3 had to go back to SIG for slides that were stuck forward or could only be manipulated with a lot of force. Give me 6-12 months without rashes of reports of broken firing pins, trigger return springs, stuck slides, and to a much lesser extent, tinpan-alley rollmarks.

For their part, SIG is doing nothing to assuage my concerns. Since they haven't even admitted that there's a problem with the gun, I don't trust their self-assessment that it's solidly reliable and always has been.

The purple ones work the best. ;)

I disagree. My yellow one works better AND it is safety yellow 'cause safety is important. o_O

I've read tons of SIG 365 threads over the last year and I don't think I've heard this mentioned once. Mine is one of the newer ones but it flawless so far.
