Lets say that you wanted to buy only three guns for the rest of your life. You could replace parts as needed so it is not like it has to last you for the rest of your life without any repairs. What ONE handgun, rifle and shotgun could you get by with if you really really had to? Lets also say that the amount of extra stuff you can get with it are limited to what can fit on one gun. No shotguns with four differnet sized bbls or handguns with several slides, ect. While minor parts can be replaced as needed, try to pick a weapon that may actually last a lifetime with a little care.

Here is my choice but I would really like a few more handguns. :)

1. Remington 870 12ga with 21" tube. I think that is short enough for defensive work but long enough for any hunting I may need.

2. Kahr K-9. I want a handgun for CCW so I must give up some accuracy and power in exchange for a gun that I would actually carry.

3. AR-15 with 16" bbl and collapable stock.

With these three guns, I could have most of my bases covered. Of course I could use a good .22lr rilfe and pistol and a Beretta 92fs and a few others but if I had to, I could deal with the three above guns.

a) Remington 870, although I'd be tempted to choose a 20 gauge. I'm not afraid of getting kicked in the shoulder a bit, but if it's the only shotgun I'm to use for the rest of my life...

b) Revolver: S&W model 19
b) Auto-loader: Glock model 19

c) I really, really like my SKS.

870P 18" 12GA
700 PSS .308Win
Colt 1911 .45ACP

All American Made, all made out of STEEL.

I gotta list five rifle, pistol, shotgun. 22 pistol 22 rifle

In order....
rifle Winchester model 70 current issue LT in 270, work for every thing from coyotes to elk

pistol my Colt post war commander 45

shotty my Browning RKLT 28" superposed made in herstal

22 pistol would be my match target woodsman

22 rifle either a model 39 marlin or anschutz model 1710 D

For my 2 cents worth:

Handgun: Glock 17

Shotgun: Reminton 870 w/20" BBL

Rifle: HK-91 .308

I'd be good to go defensively and have a rifle that could hunt too.

Pistol: Taurus 66 357, hence, my name.

Rifle: Anything reliable, semiautomatic, and 7.62 x 51.

Shotgun: Liberty II 12 gauge coach gun over my Remington 870. It's easier to break down and snap back together (requires no tools). There's no worry of a shell jamming in behind the carrier (what can sometimes happen with pump action), more shots can be fired in a shorter time frame than with a pump, I can fire both barrels at once (6 gauge?).. to name a few.

Rifle: M-4, 16." I know it's garden variety, but it's just so fun to shoot. Great for defense and small game as well.

Pistol: Kimber Custom Eclipse II w/ night sites. The greatest gun I've owned so far. Concealable, powerful, not overly difficult to maintain, and after 4000 rounds without a snag it's reliable enough for me.

Shotgun: Whin 1300 Navy. The first gun I ever bought (mostly for the "cool" look of it) has stood ready for years as an HD gun and after doing ok with skeet I'm confident it could serve as an impromptu bird popper. Simplicity, reliability, and capacity make it the shotgun I'm comfortable sticking with for the rest of my life. Plus it still looks cool  .

SIG 228 9mm 13 rounds +1, 9mm so ammo is plentiful, decent HD gun and very carry-able easy to conceal with a good holster.

Remington 870 12ga 18 inch barrel w/ tube extension. HD blaster / room broom

AK General goto SHTF home invasion repeller

870
1911
The rifle...now that is tricky. Perhaps an M1A Scout Squad.

These three would cover all the hunting/HD/SHTF scenarios that I can think of.

Assuming I can use uppers and kits...

CZ-75 (9mm and .22lr with the Kadet kit. Pretty good for CCW and cheap practice)

Remington 870 12 gauge 18" with extended mag tube

AR-15 (So many different types of uppers out there)

NEF single shot shotgun in 12ga, 24" bbl.
Dan Wesson 4" bbl .357 (unsure of model number)
Winchester lever action in .357 (again, unsure of model number)

Of all the firearms I've handled/shot, these have to be the sturdiest feeling to me. Whether or not they actually are, I'm unsure. Boy did I like how they all felt though!

Handgun: Walther P99
Rifle: The tough one for me. Probably an M4 or G36.
Shotgun? Can I replace with a Sub-Gun? MP5 for me.
