So I have been getting my wife more and more into shooting and she has recently taken to a pink (I have tried to explain why it is wrong, but she wont listen) SIG Mosquito. We were at a store the other day and she decided she had to have one. Now I prefer my Buckmark to any other 22 but she loved the feel and I have been trying to get her to try an autoloader so I said wth.
I didn't bother to do much research because, well........ its a SIG, and they are all great right? Pffft, well all I can say about this gun is WHAT PILE OF STEAMING DOG ****E! I couldn't get through a single mag without some sort of failure (all types were represented). I tried several types of ammo including the CCI Mini-Mags that SIG recommended with no positive results. I field stripped it and there was no dirt and it had lube in all the right places from the factory.
So I call the shop that sold it to me and they tell me it came with another spring that is lighter. GREAT, maybe that will fix it. So I take the pistol apart only to find it already had the lighter spring. Well, WTH do I do now? The only hope I have for this gun is maybe whoever installed the spring put it on the wrong way (there is a tapered end) and putting it on correctly will fix it. Tomorrow I will test it out again.
Now if this doesn't work, I will likely bring this gun back and trade it for something else. This brings me to the purpose of the thread.
My wife LOVES the gun other than the small, insignificant detail that it cant make it through 10 frigging rounds without having some sort of failure. She wants me to fix it and I am running out of ideas that don't involve a gunsmith. She wants a pink pistol...... yes, it HAS to be pink. So, I am looking for other options in something smaller than 9mm with a pink finish.
I have seen the pink grip on the S&W M&P and that's interesting, but I'm looking for other options. She didn't like the pink Taurus Millennium. So that was a really long way for me to ask for suggestions on pink pistols. Thanks in advance for any help.
