Pouring powder down the barrel on revolvers

Pouring powder down the barrel isn't a good idea. I use pre-loaded charges in bottleneck rifle cartridges with silicone stoppers(the kind that powder coaters use). .243 for the .44's and .223 (neck opened up to 6mm) for the .36's. Fast enough, and some clubs don't allow bulk powder in a flask at the firing line. Keep 'em in a plastic flip-top box just like rifle cartridges.

I’ve got a Berry’s Bullets flip top .44 box that is almost a perfect fit for .223 cases. If I trimmed them down about 0.02”, I wouldn’t even need a stopper as they would be snug enough to not lose powder even if the box was flipped over. A .223 case holds a little over 30gr volume. I’d then use my flask to pour whatever filler I use over the powder.
