I am doubting the drug connection to be honest. As a college student I see many kids smoking marijuana but it doesnt seem to be as dangerous as alcohol.
As for the crack cocaine, well I am a little skeptical. His ex-girlfriend says that and has a restraining order against him. I am not sure if the restraining order is legit or not due to the relative ease it is to get them (or so I am reading by some posters here). Now this ex-girlfriend has a chance to badmouth him in the local papers, of course she will take it.
I think the intention of this article was to associate having large amounts of with a negative image. That seems to be the real agenda. Would they have spent so much time elaborating on the fact he has all this ammo, or the actual alleged crime? Shooting out the windows of his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend and buying ammo with a restraining order on him.
Either way I see this article as another attempt to paint gunowners in a negative light.
