If ANY candidate is stupid enough to say that the framers of the Constitution had our "right" to hunt cottontails and squirrels as the reason for the Second Amendment they they are either ignorant or dishonest.

For many reasons previously elucidated, McCain, Giuliani and Romney are not pro-Second Amendment.
As a conservative constitutionalist I cannot possibly support ANY candidate who does not believe in the Bill of Rights and that goes for those three and ALL the Dems running.
Like I said before,there ARE other candidates running who are FAR more friendly to us. I think Duncan Hunter is the best around. I think Gingrich is pro-gun. I don't know anything about Huckabee, but considering where he's from, he MUST be pro-gun.
And as another person said, its still a year to the primary.
But we should NOT allow the media to select a candidate for us. They want us to choose one from column "A" or one from column "A". And
helping ANY anti-gun candidate with precious votes on the premises that they MIGHT be better than some other anti-gun candidate is in the long run unproductive. Better to vote a third party and hope Congress and some of those conservative judges Bush II appointed will help us.

"Highly technological" seems to me like it translates to "really, really expensive and marginally effective, at best".
How about a "highly-built" one, like say, oh, 25 feet? And made with bricks...

Instead of the whole expensive fence idea we should just have the military train along the border. The whole Army regularly travels hundreds if not thousands of miles to go to different training camps all around the country. So it would not be a stretch for the Amry to train along the border. I see so many benefits as it would be real world training instead of running through scenarios. The sight of a column of Abrams cruising along the border with their 120MM cannons would be sure to dissuade even the most ardent fence hopper. I see so many benefits and very little drawbacks. Some people might say that the Amry is not allowed to do missions within our own borders. But if the Army training along the border just so happens to be a highly effective deterrent, than it is just another positive benefit.
