Now THAT'S interesting!
I could very easily see one of those ending up in my safe. I'll wait to see how well the trigger is and how well they shoot.

I've heard the trigger on the snubby 22 LCR was garbage, but if this one's is GTG, I'll get one for sure.

Ruger has been knocking it out of the park recently, and all they've been doing is listen to what consumers are asking them. There's something to be said for that.

I understand that rimfire triggers need be a little heavy but the LCR .22 Win Mag I had was, to me, extremely harsh. Never could get used to it. Liked the caliber and the platform but ended up using it as part of a trade. I've been looking for a .22 revolver and will give these a look see when they show up at my LGS. I have the "3 LCRx in .38 and really like it.

Ouch, that hurt. If I hadn't picked up a second 2" LCR 22LR about six weeks ago I'd be geting one. Didn't see it coming. Love these ugly ducklings.

I remember a fair number of people claiming they would be all over this if Ruger would make it.

Well folks - here it is...

Yes, my wife's LCR in .22 LR has a trigger that is essentially 'unshootable'; it's certainly the heaviest DA trigger I've experienced, worse than old H&R 622's and the like. The LCRx would have to be fundamentally different for me to even consider it.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to why you'd care what the DA trigger was like on a 3" adjustable sight 22lr kit gun with a SA capability

Well, if I wanted an SA revolver, I'd buy one, I guess; I imagine most people feel the same?

With a DA revolver, I expect to be able to at least shoot the darn thing DA with reasonable hope of hitting something; having shot Master class PPC years ago, I can usually manage a DA revolver, but that .22LR LCR is truly miserable.

But what ultra light polymer single action revolver with an easy loading swing out cylinder are you going to buy?

Well, likely none. But I'm not buying an LCRx 22, either; it's not impossible to make a shootable .22 DA, and I don't see why I should buy one that isn't.

I don't think a 'kit gun' is a necessity for most folks; if I'm going to buy one, I'll want it to work correctly.

Not being argumentative; I just don't want to purchase a DA revolver that has an unshootable DA.

Your options are limited to older used guns. There is nothing new out there that doesn't require after the sale action work.

Not defending this particular revo, I'm actually having a difficult time understanding the actual purpose of it but to each his own.

I'm just pointing out that even with a terrible DA pull (and let's face it what revolver does not today) a gun in this configuration still has potential for a broad appeal.

I'm mostly interested in one for a range toy for my fiancé and a small game getter for myself. We both prefer DA revolvers, but if the DA trigger is junk I might look at other options. I was thinking about either a single six or a MKIII before I thought about the LCRx 22. They might still be the front runner if Ruger hasn't straightened these triggers out yet.

Just curious if you've shot an LCR 22LR? I compared my wife's to all the revolvers I've shot, including recent production S&W 6XX series snubs, and it was far-FAR-worse than any of them.

Perhaps she got a bad example, but this particular gun is, as I mentioned, the worst DA I've ever encountered. I get that modern DA guns will need work, and rimfires in particular, but this one starts so far behind that I wouldn't even consider it. Again, maybe this one is a klinker.
