Thanks for considering being the Guinea pig.Let us know after about 3,000 rds.
Not being a Guinea pig. Just hate to so many suffer from anxiety over something they know so little about. I hope that I will be able to ease your mind. Plus I own a lot of guns, many similar autos, but I don’t have a Ruger simi auto other then a MkI & II.Thanks for considering being the Guinea pig.Let us know after about 3,000 rds.
I believe you're referring to the EC9s:I think the New Ruger E nine, which is the same as the LC9S but with fixed sights, would be a better buy. I love the LC9S and they make great carry guns. Great point and shoot at 15 yds. You could have it for home defense or CCW. Besides selling at a Price of $209 out the door, and the street price to go much lower would be a nice low cost firearm that would be very versatile.
That's not bad, IMO, since it's new to the market. Looking forward to a report.Well I stopped off at my friend’s shop and ordered the Security 9 on my way home today. $339 and it should be here no later then Friday.
I went by the shop on my way home to pick up my new Ruger. But it was not in. My friend told me that he ordered two, one for me and one to display in the store. They were shipped next day air and were supposed to have arrived today. Oh well, I get it tomorrow.
This could be a viable service pistol for less fortunate departments and security agencies.
I hear folks that are talking about price alone. Are there other guns in this price range that might be a better buy? How well will this gun hold up after a certain number of rounds have been fired? It has a aluminum chassis, vs a number of guns that have stainless steel. Would it be wiser to invest in about a $100.00 more and get the Ruger American which has a Novak, sights, all stainless steel chassis, barrel, recoil guide rod, modular design, teflon coated magazines, PLUS P SUSTAINED BUILD and more? I get the impression this is not a range gun,but a gun for home security. I do not have one, but the Sar 9 might be a good buy as well. Or the SR9E which is selling at Buds for $270 with free shipping. Just a economy version of the well tested SR9C. I own a SR9C and know it will go the distance, plus I have a dozen mags what would fit. I would go to that gun before the new gun Based on a LCP. Especially for durability and a lot of ammo down range.
I would not be a candidate for the gun at this point....
Dude we get it, you don't like the gun. Promise anyone who has read this thread understands that by now.
I'm not sure why you're so hellbent on talking people out of this gun but its really getting frustrating to read this thread and look for info from people who actually own the gun.
Ever hear that people can have different opinions, needs, wants etc, and it be perfectly fine to do so?
Ok, no Problem Dude. No more discussions on this gun from anyone that has not owned it. Sounds like a plan. And by the way Dude, I was comparing prices of other guns and making suggesting for shopping. I guess you own one? And by the way Dude, I am a Ruger Fan. Own a number of Rugers And I think I have a right to make a comment about a gun based on a another gun I have owned, actually 4 of them. So how about turning your baseball hat around and stop the whining.
The consideration of purchasing the firearm is the entire reason for my interest in the thread. By all means, feel free to express your opinion on said subject. No qualms at all with discussing and expressing said opinions. Seems you had a negative input on anything and everything that was mentioned as a potential plus. Maybe you should just stick around a while and let someone else point out something potentially positive about the new product so you can think of a reason to shoot that down too ... dude.
Ps. I will wear my ball cap however I see fit.
I will be making a new thread of "Budget guns" now available, and other guns that are great values. Move away from just this model on this tread. By the way, I wear my "Ruger Hat" each day, but Brim facing in front of my face.
