With Rugers recent unveilings of the Scout carbine and LC9, Colts 7.62 AR-15 and Kel-Tecs new shotgun, what are your predictions for this years shot show. Has all the thunder been spent or will somebody shock us with a really neat new must have gun?? Any insider info or insight appreciated!

Quite true that there have been some big unveilings during the last week. I'm really not sure how to interpret that.

I DON'T think that we have seen everything yet though. I've been impressed some years and unimpressed other years.

Just FYI there are several on the THR staff going to the SHOT show and we will be adding a new subforum just for SHOT posts/pictures right before the show starts.

Look for more "official" announcements soon.

yep! I can remember the days of meeting folks from here at dinner in vegas for a annual get together with moderators and all. it was small the first couple of years when we all met at the chinese resurant. What did we have the last time I was there maybe 25 folks and the following year we got together with some folks from the fal files at the Italian resurant (too crowded and noisy). I bet you guys have to rent a large place by now for the get together?

At the 2011 Shot Show, Vltor will announce that at the 2012 Shot Show they will have a working, preproduction announcement of the pending announcement of the 2014 Shot Show announcement of the possible release, at a future date, still to be determined, of the announcement, that they will possibly begin exploring the rumor that there ever was any such gun known as the Bren Ten... cause they sure ain't seen one... yet... pending announcement...:uhoh:

whats the point of shot show? most of the products "unvieled" never come to any fruition, and when they do its a limited release that costs to much and does little.

LOL that was good!
The state of the industry diner is always great and has good imformation. I hope in your report here you will share anything fom it and some good photos from all of the cool shoots they have during the evenings after the show closes in the afternoon.

The focus by most will be the HD/SD market for the US. Others will still be displaying fine examples of sporting guns. However, the explosion of the black/plastic market will still reign....(yawn)

I imagine the biggest thing will be endless amounts of 1911's since its 100yrs old. LOL maybe we will see the first GLOCK 1911, now that would be fun.
