Looking at a large caliber, short barrelled woods guns.
Saw a Steyr ProHunter .376Steyr with open sites and 20" barrel in a gun shop today. Asking price was $650, but it is on consignment so I'm sure it can be had for less.
Does anybody have this gun and caliber? What do you think?
I reload so ammo wouldn't be a huge concern, but are components readily available on-line?
If I pass, are there any .375 caliber rounds that are based on the .30-06 case, that would work in a 20" barrel? Also, is it just a new barrel that would be needed or more work?
