Last night I was editing some photos for a colleague (for her book on hurricane Katrina and New Orleans) and I hit some "firearm confiscation" photos.
WOW, it all came crashing down on me again about how WRONG that whole situation was but how little each individual could do when face to face with multiple officers who were, essentially, robbing them at gunpoint. So after much consideration it seems to me that about the only thing they could have done was to hide at least some of their firearms ahead of time and deny knowledge.
Now I think that we could all agree that it would be a little silly to state exactly where we might hide stuff here on an open forum but perhaps we could address this from the opposite end by considering the statement "Oh, that's always the first place they look" and eliminating some of the hiding places that seem good, but are actually pretty easy to find.
Some places that are worthless for concealing emergency firearms.
-Anywhere on/in/near your bed.
-Closets
-Access door to your water pipes
-Kitchen cupboards
-Above a dropped ceiling
-Water tank of the toilet
-Anywhere near your "home office" desk
-Eves of the attic
