I want to see some pictures of some of your ugliest guns. I really mean rust and other carnage but endearing ugliness is welcome too such as the Benelli Vinci.
I think too many small parts would have given it up, and I did not want to break the hammer getting it loose, so I'm going to say "no". The safety DID begin to move, though......
Found in 3-4 feet of mud, on or near a farm being cultvated or excavated in Tennessee. A guy posted it on ebay (they cancelled his auction within 24 hours), but I had quickly contacted him about buying if they did that, and made arrangements to get it. I like to think it was tossed during a chase during Prohibition by a bootlegger. It is a true 1911, so would have been around during that time. No ther know story behind it, and I don't want to "acid" it to turn up the serial number to get a letter from Colt. Maybe I could magnuflux it and read the number. Any other suggestions to "raise" the number without detracting from the "patina" it has going for it?
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but I feel the XD's or the Highpoints are the ugliest guns ever made. Of course, I see my Glocks as pretty good looking.
I may have posted the pic before, but this is my RG-40. My first and only handgun so far.
That ammo came with the gun. Originally, I had decided it wouldnt be a good idea to run +P ammo in the gun, but eventually i did anyway. it didnt blow up from those 5 rounds or 12 more +P speer TMJ rounds, so il call that proofed, and now it only has to handle standard pressure stuff.
Since that pic I have taken the matte finish off the gun, its now a grey sort of bare metal color, and it has a better looking improvised cylinder release.
I do plan to upgrade to better gun, but for now life has other more important plans for my hard earned cash, and I dont feel at all underarmed for the time being.
No pics, but you've all seen them. My daughters little pink Cricket. One of the ugliest darn things, but don't tell her as she is rather fond of it and LOVES shooting with me.
