Wal-Mart Got an AR

My wife came home from work yesterday and told me that they received an AR at the WM store she works at.Not sure the make but it lasted ten minutes in the sporting goods dept before being sold. I tried not looking disappointed being that it was Valentines Day and the day before my 50th Birthday. Maybe next year...

I stopped by one store this morning to get my employees some donuts and jogged back to the sporting goods to check the ammo shelf. I saw that they had gotten in a case of 7.62x39 Tula.

coRoMo - likewise, TulAmmo is about ALL my local WM has available. While irritating at times, I think their 'limit 3 boxes' policy is actually helping, at least in my neck of the woods. Otherwise, they likely would not have had any 7.62 when I went to look.

The Tula wasn't there when I checked yesterday.

Ammo has been in short supply up here also. She did manage to bring me home 1K 22 Long rifle a few weeks back. (Three boxes of 333 rds) . Hopefully these are signs that things are starting to loosen up a bit.

Yep, plus one on the book, and a big yes about the employee discount. The only things Walmart does not allow employee discounts on is food items, and they waive that even and give discounts on food at Christmas time beginning around the week before Thanksgiving.

I wonder if "The Book" is from store to store rather than company wide? Because we went to multiple walmarts in a Louisiana city and went thru the chain of command up to the store manager and no one at the 6 or 7 walmarts in our city knew anything about this magical ordering book

My walmart "atleast they did" have sig 556 , sig 556 .22lr version whatever it's called and 2 different configured bushmaster Ar-15's now it's like a ghost town at the gun counter. when asked about when they were getting ammo back in stock ".308 , .223 etc." I was told the main warehouses are holding off shipments to all but a few stores wth is up with that ? they're hoarding ammo...

No, it's corporate, it's the list of what they carry, there actually is two, one is a picture book, the other is just UPC and a one line description
It's a list of EVERYTHING they can order in.

HOWEVER if your walmart doesn't carry gun, you are SOL
