Poor College Student

I am a poor college student and work for the College Republican National Committee, but that will be changing after the election. I use to design playground equipment but want to find a job more in the politicla realm so after Nov 7th who knows what I will be doing.

Very little these days - but the money from the year in Iraq is running out, and eventually I'll have to get another job and stop being a stay-at-home Dog Mom. :)

I've been a Marine, a rent-a-cop, a government flack, and a Soldier.

I'll do anything that allows me to wear a uniform - I can't dress myself. :D

I drive a Wrangler (manual, thank you very much).

Lead control room operator at a coal fired electrical generation plant, temp. reassigned to develop graphics for a new control system. Then reassigned again to manage lockout/tagout databases. Been with the same company 26 years, before that I was a Machinist Mate in the USN.
Oh, yeah, drive a F150 4x4, all my cars are American but my motorcycle is a metric!

After reading this list of jobs people have here I feel lower than whale s*** to have to admit that I work as a rent-a-cop. And have for the last 15 years.

I drive a 95 Chevy Caprice Classic. It's all I can afford. (Or did until somebody tried to steal it out of my driveway and smashed up the ignition. Now it's going to take over half of my next paycheck to get it back to where I can drive it.)

I'm an electrical designer by title, but I also handle all mechanical and process design at the plant where I work simply because they have neglected to hire any other designers besides me. But what the heck, the pay is pretty darn good. I'm also a PM on smaller projects.

I drive a 1998 Saturn SC2 and a 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport.

Yep, but only on holiday weekends when there's no capacity available anywhere and the customer wants his FTL delivered "first thing" the morning after the holiday so that he can take the rest of the week to "live" unload it as he needs it.

And to keep it on topic. My Saab is a manual transmission. If you have an automatic transmission, you're not driving, you're just steering.

I'm an "Engineering Intern" going to school for my degree in Civil Engineering. I use to be a Computer Aided Drafter, then I got a new job that paid better. My new boss thinks I'm an intern. But really I just do the same stuff I used to plus do a bunch of :banghead: :banghead: :cuss: :banghead: stuff. I wish it paid for my guns and school...

Oh, I drive a 2005 VW MK4 GTI with a 1.8l turbo*, it replaced my first car, a 1969 vw bug that I drove for 6 years until I started a 100 mile a day commute.

*translates: An expensive waste of money that uses too much gas and raised my insurance too much ($500/yr to $2400/yr) but atleast will hold my guns on the way to the range.
