What is the last gun that you bought?

Hi...
Bought a Uberti 1875 Remington clone in .45Colt about a week and a half ago.
Used but shot very little.
Had it out to the range on Sunday. Shot a bit to the right and high at 15yds with 255gr coated LSWC over 8.0gr of Unique.
Held at the bottom of a 12" steel plate at 25yds and was able to hit it repeatedly off a rest and off hand.

I have been wanting a Yildiz SxS 410 for a while. Most local Academy stores were sold out of this model. I have been watching a couple of sportsman's classified in my area and Monday morning the exact gun I wanted was advertised. it is like new in box the owner said he had shot about 2 boxes of shells threw it.

Needless to say I made arrangements and purchased for $450. they retail for $480 with 10% taxes here. so i saved about $80 over a new gun.

The gun is in perfect condition with box and all 5 choke tubes. I shot it yesterday about 25 times and it function flawlessly. the furniture quality is extremely nice for a low end double. It appears that Yildiz is a lot of gun for the money!!

I plan to target shoot with it as I can reload 2.5 in 410 shells very reasonably!

Happy camper,

Bull

Just bought a Ruger American Predator, left hand 6.5 Creedmoor. Wanted a backup gun as my AB 7mm08 is getting old. The Ruger met my requirements, not very expensive, left hand, shotgun type thumb safety, and a detachable magazine. I picked 6.5 Creedmoor on impulse, but also knowing it will be completely sufficient for my type of deer hunting. Just wondering what others think of the rig?

Not sure about that caliber but I have a Ruger American Ranch which has been flawless shooting but had many issues chambering rounds. I sent the gun in and they rebarreled it and returned it and it eats everything now.

:uhoh: I should NEVER have gone into that store .......

First non rainy day here in several days. I had a bit of cabin fever, so I took a little trip to a lgs. Look around for awhile, saw nothing that attracted my attention or desire.

Then I spotted it. High, hanging on a wall amongst numerous other guns, mostly AR-15 rifles and pistols and other E.B.R.s ....

A Thompson!!! :what:

One of these modern semiauto castrated M1 types with the 16" smooth barrel, the cocking handle on the right side.
And the price seemed much less than I imagined it would be .......

So, yeah .... I bought it!

You know, these things are gosh-darned HEAVY!!! But, hey, they are iconic weapons!!!
It came in a nice heavy duty plastic case with the words "Chicago Typewriter" on the top cover.
And one 30 round magazine.

Nice, historic. Somewhat ungainly (you might think a gun as similar in basic form to the AR-15 might be as ergonomic and pointable but despite that, trust me, it isn't) . As far as WW2 weapons are concerned, I think my M-1 carbine is superior.

But I'm still quite happy with my new purchase:D even if I should be horse-whipped for spending so much $$$$ on a clunky gun!

And I know it's my avatar and screen name ....just being honest here.... ;)

Just picked up a cute little P365. Smooth shooter for something so small and lightweight. I'm used to carrying a S&W 4566 TSW, so by comparison the 365 barely feels like it's there.
