What is the last gun that you bought?

Yep, these babies are a hoot to shoot. They are surprisingly accurate too. Certainly not sub MOA, but still
plenty accurate out to 100 yards. Mine has the Cutts compensator so the gun does not climb if you want to
do fast follow up shots. Also with it's steel frame it weighs around 14 lbs loaded with a 30 round stick
mag. I have the drum, but it is a pain to load and more bother then it is worth.
I remember watching Combat and old Vic Morrow, who played Sgt. Saunders carried a M1A Tommy gun.
I loved that thing when I was a kid. That and the German MP40's and 38's. They make a repro
of the MP40, but every where I read about it the gun gets bad reviews with respect to jamming and
other issues. Plus due to it's length, they do not build it with the folding stock since it
is considered a pistol and with a folding stock it is something they call a
'short barreled rifle..

Sergeant Saunders (Vic Morrow) actually carried the 1928 Thompson. In the pilot episode ("A DAY IN JUNE") he carried an M1 Garand, and in a later episode, "THE SQUAD," he carried an M1 Carbine.

Interesting trivia about the show: Rick Jason, who played Lt. Hanley, was originally slated to carry the Thompson, was an avid hunter and reloaded his ammo, and knew from experience about carrying guns over a long day, so he refused the Thompson and got the "lightest gun available," the carbine. So Vic Morrow inherited the Thompson. He complained about the weight so the prop shop built him a light-weight wood prop Tommygun.
Incidentally, the name of the head prop man? :D Tommy Thompson:what:. Yeeup, I kid thee not! ;)

I just bought a Ruger SR 762 on gun broker, woo hoo! It will go nicely with my SR 556 and 556/300 combo.

This. My first “black” rifle ever. 9MM fun gun. Masterpiece Arms, Defender, MPA20SS

This is my Dads Stevens Little Scout, this is the "nice" side, the other side has his name and two digit phone number that he carved in it when he was about 10, which would have been around 1940 ... it has a nail for a handle for the ejector and the barrel is shot out from using 22 birdshot

I thought I was all done until I saw this one today. I've seen nicer in the $450 range but more than I wanted to spend for something I'll likely only shoot a few times. Its far from mint but pretty decent and was only $185. It's all correct except maybe the front sight and has a decent barrel ... it was an impulse buy.

My 2 newest. I bought the Ruger .357 Blackhawk as my first revolver, and loved it. I thought I would add another revolver next, but then a Dan Wesson Pointman 9mm caught my eye, and I had to have one. I think I've been to the range everyday this past week shooting that PM9. 60445033152__686E4910-95EB-45B8-80F1-736A8280FF15.JPG

S&W 15-4, 98% or better. Magna grips, standard hammer, trigger, sights. Nice companion for my 19.

Picked up a 1893 Spanish Mauser to go with my Krag and Trapdoor to go with my Spanish American War spot in my gun collection . Almost picked up a Navy Lee rifle few years back but was just out of my price range . It's still on my wishlist . Most of my firearms are just after WW2 and back eras . If I get a headache straightened out will post about a Lee Enfield rifle that's lost in limbo !!!

Thursday March 5th I purchased a Winchester 1866 rifle. 24" octagon barrel, chambered in .38 special. It's made by Miroku, not Uberti, so it has the Winchester name on it, and the breech block modifications that Miroku uses, but not Uberti.
This is a beautiful, nice rifle. I have two toggle-link Uberti 1873s, a saddle ring carbine and short rifle. They both have nice actions. But they are second rate to what Miroku produces!
The brass receiver is nice -- silky, with brass accutrements and buttplate.
:oops: I am feeling a tad bit guilty. I feel like I slammed Uberti. I didn't mean to; they make great repros and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if it was the right gun.
But heck, Miroku just does such a beautiful job .... this is my third Miroku-made rifle! :D

Those Lees are beautiful rifles..

Picked up the Thompson Center T/CR22 today and did some initial 25 yard testing with 14 different ammo - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...50-yard-22lr-ammo-comparison-break-in.864241/

T/CR22 is Ruger 10/22 "compatible" 17" firearm that can accept 10/22 parts such as magazine, etc. and was designed and built with greater accuracy in mind, starting with integral picatinny rail for mounting optics, fiber optic front and ghost ring rear sights, last round bolt hold open magazine, etc. - https://www.tcarms.com/firearms/semi-automatic/t-cr22

I got the OD green MagPul stock model that is similar to MagPul Hunter X-22 stock for 10/22.

I also ordered Monstrum cantilever quick release scope mount to replace Mizugiwa cantilever quick release scope mount that is showing wear after several years of heavy use for my various AR/PCC/AR-CMMG 22LR/10-22 Take Down and 10-22 Collector #3 testing (BTW, really like the QR lever mechanism on Monstrum scope mount way better than Mizugiwa scope mount and Torx head bolts were used instead of Allen head bolts).

T/CR22 with Monstrum scope mount and Bushnell Dusk & Dawn AO 6-18x50mm

That's one mean looking 10/22

I had bought a Ruger SR9 at the bargain price of $300 last August and a Remington RM380 with 5 magazines for a good $200 deal earlier this year, but plumb forgot to mention buying another SR9 for $250 in December. All new pistols of course. Didn’t need any of them, but will gift them to my sons and grandsons.
The last 9, which looks kinda like the first one I posted last summer... :)

Just got a mint 1943 Remington 1903A3 from a buddy of mine. Mirror bore. Looks never issued. Got a m1 sling for it and now waiting to get an m1 bayonet for it as well.

Hi...
Bought a blued and case hardened .44Magnum Virginian Dragoon with a 7-1/2" barrel a couple of days ago.
Didn't really need it...I have several other .44Magnum revolvers including a stainless steel Virginian Dragoon.
Just couldn't resist.
