Purchased this just before firearms deer season in Minnesota.
No, I did not buy it for hunting.
One can use their imagination for its use. This puppy is heavy!
A Springfield Armory Saint Edge ATC in 223 Wylde.
It will be a while before I shoot it as optics will have to be purchased and installed.
and dies, components etc.
A whole new world for me!
Never bought a rifle, (I like handguns) let alone a "feared "black gun"
Should be fun, right?
OH!
I have to take that back.
Bought a rifle of my deceased Uncle from my Aunt last Summer...
I may post that someday if I have not already.
Edit to add...
This is not my last gun.
Another is on its way tomorrow.
Oh boy...
Try to explain that to Mrs. Johnson!
Last gun I bought is a Rolling Block rifle with Carlos Gove underlever conversion, and a Farrow false muzzle barrel. Chambered in .32-40 cartridge.
And case hardeningPretty wood!
As a follow up, I learned that not only do these pistols not lock back after the last round, but also the slide lock notch does not hold because it is only for use in field stripping, apparently after the slide spring is removed. I learned this from a very informative site at this post.FN 1922 chambered for 7.65 Browning (.32 ACP). Springs all seem pretty stiff, like maybe the previous owner replaced some of them. Did the firing pin test and it nicely launched a 1/4x9" dowel. Just ran some snap caps through it and they fly out pretty forcefully just hand racking it, so the ejector seems to be in great shape. Can hardly wait to shoot it.
