The one I currently hold in my hand.............................
Back in the 80s and 90s I had a Python. Finest handgun I ever touched. So now when I got the opportunity to get a new Colt Cobra I jumped at it. The Cobra is truly scary close to how nice the Python was. It is by far my favorite gun period. View attachment 943726
Nice! What key is that Hohner in?
I showed you mine now let's see yours.
IWB....appendix carry. That’ll impress the ladies.....hahaha.Freedom arms 83 in 454 casull, 10" barrel. Makes shooting big heavy bullets more fun, lighter loaded rounds are more fun too. That one always gets a few looks at the range, I was going to have it shortened to 6" but I have other guns that are meant to be portable already so this one's going to stay long (to impress the ladies, or something like that)
My wife thinks I'm over compensating but she's too nice to say it.IWB....appendix carry. That’ll impress the ladies.....hahaha.
Dream gun. One day.
Good lord, I am such a peasant compared to you guys.My favorite shooter. An action job has been performed by a previous owner that makes DA shooting a pleasure. Not a big fan of stainless but it's performance that counts in the end. Grips by Driskill.

$100? I will pay you $110 right now, cash on the barrel, for that H&R.Most would look at my collection and pick some higher end revolver. but if I were selling all my revolvers off one at at time the last man standing would be my dads old H&R 9 shot double action target model. So I guess by that metric my favorite would be my least expensive. Might be worth 100 bucks to a motivated buyer. Same for my favorite shotgun and rifle. The sentiment and story of some lower end gun would trump value or even quality of others to make my cut as keepers. CCW would be a different story entirely....
My most grabbed and carried would be a newer 617 4 inch. Great utilitarian gun. Accurate and impossible to wear out. And nobody cares if it gets scratched or harmed. They make them every day. Awfully heavy for a little 22 though.
Of course if I were big game hunting or using the gun for defense both of those would be pretty close the bottom of my list.
Second most carried would be a 329pd I carry when fencing/hiking/ hunting. A 44 mag that weighs less than a light 22 is hard to beat. You won't see one with a high round count though. They won't last IME.

Two of the three mentioned. I guess I never took a picture of the H&R

Took me a while to scroll down to the end of that barrel.
Re your Charter. Did it survive the handloads? I have Boomers and go up to 7.5 g Unique occasionally. It always seemed like it was going to kill the gun before it hurt my hand.MCB
I do not doubt how bad that 340 PD experience was. I had a similar experience with some semi-wadcutter handloads in a CHARTER ARMS Bulldog.
But, I was thinking of a .357 that would weigh about 32 to 34 ounces and have a 4.2 inch barrel. I do not like barrels shorter than 4 inches on a .357, if I can avoid it. The weight and feel (same grip frame) would match the S&W model 19, but with a full lugged barrel and a much stronger gun (I hope).

What cylinder release is that ?I am partial to N-frames and have used three different N-frame revolvers in USPSA competition (610,625, & 627) and though I only used it serious for two seasons it is still my favorite revolver to "run and gun" with, S&W 625.
