What kind of pants do you people wear?

30x32 relaxed fit Wranglers. Pocket guns dont work for me, (unless they're in my coat), even a kel-tec prints. They print in cargo pants as well, not much in the lower pocket, but then it beats the crap outta my knee, The cargo pants are great for ankle carry though.

There is an old truism -- if you carry concealed, you must adjust your wardrobe. I mostly wear Wranglers (Levi Strauss and Company supports anti-gun organizations)

I've thought about that, but a) I have about 8 pair of Levis, all in fair to good condition b) Levis are about the only jeans that fit me properly c) I ain't made of money.

Try a pair of 33"s, they may be a little large, use a belt or get an IWB to put in there. Also I believe the 560 Levi's are more of a loose fit.

See, the thing is that I wear a 32 waist, with my belt tightened to the smallest hole, and I STILL have room to carry a 4" 5906. Going to size 33 would be comical (I've tried it). Going smaller mashes up delicate pars a bit more than I like.
And I only like jeans that are (relatively) close fitting.

I wear jeans mostly because they're tough, and I can clip my Swiss Army Knife to my belt, and the strap reaches my pocket. Most khakis and corduroys (my other favorite) have those infernal vertical or angled pockets, without even a watch pocket for my chapstick. :cuss:

Guess I'll stick with IWB, and/or get me a P3AT.

IWB isn't that tough, anyway.

Next time you need jeans, try a pair of Wanglers.

"I wear 32" Levi 550s"

I've had that exact same size and style before. Now I wear 32" Levi 560s. I find that both are too tight to accommodate much of anything in the pockets. Just about any style of khakis or corduroys seems to be better.

I can stuff a j-frame in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster just fine in my Levi 505s. I'm between a 34 and 36. One is tightish, but works, the other gets loosish, but works with a belt. At work I wear ordinary Khakhis, and the j-frame fits in there too- a little less so now that I've changed the grips from the original wood ones to some rubber ones, but it conceals nontheless. I work with people who would freak out around CCW, but have pocket carried for the last year or so.

Mostly old navy cargo pants, I cant get access to the gun quickley in old navy jeans but it will fit.

Whatever's cheap at Le Mart de Wall, or it's competitor across the street, and big enough to fit me.

I've got a pair of BDU pants with pockets big enough for any handgun I own to vanish into.

Kel-Tec P32 or P3AT in a DeSantis Nemesis holster....

will fit in any pocket, jeans, slacks, dockers, shorts, sweatpants, etc., etc.
The holster has a slightly tacky feel, so it always stays put. Won't pull out when you draw. Come to think of it, DeSantis also makes a nemesis for a S&W J-Frame. A Model 37 Airweight should work fine in pockets, as long as the grips ain't too bulky.

Which brings up another question: doesn't a heavy weapon in your pocket tend to pull your britches in a southerly direction?

I carry a G27 in a Galco pocket holster with my shirt untucked sometimes when I hunt. If I have a backpack or something around my waist it is a good option. Without an untucked shirt, it won't work.

I carry my Taurus PT-145 in my right front pocket of either my dress slacks, while at work, or my Wrangler Relaxed Fit Jeans everywhere else. When I wear shorts they are cargo's that I could hide a SKS in the pocket.

This gun is totally hidden from sight and the pants are baggy enough that there is no printing of the gun.

I wear jeans most of the time I'm not in my BDU's. Majority of jeans came from American Eagle. I have about a 32 waist, but some clothing makers 30's will fit, but the Dickies I wear when I'm workin my second job fit me best in 34, so I can't ever tell.

One neat trick I picked up along the way to save time when shopping for pants is to take a pair off the rack, and with the button buttoned, wrap the waistband around your neck, the two ends should barely touch at the back of your neck, and you'll be in the neighborhood for the right waist size, it's saved me some time not having to try on too many different sizes.

I change my pistol choice/carry method, to go with what I feel like wearing, it goes like this:
Jeans: Para-Ord P-13.45 IWB in my Threat Solutions UCR (Ultra Concealment Rig) with my Glock G26 on my ankle in a Galco Ankle Glove.

Casual Khakis: same as jeans

Dress Pants: Just the G26 on the ankle

Dickies: I put the G26 in my DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster, yeah it prints, but I figure when I've got a Para-Ord, an ASP baton, cuffs, OC spray, and a radio on my duty belt, people aren't really going to notice the bulge in my pocket.

The only way I can retain flexibility in my wardrobe, is to have flexibility in my firearm choice/carry method. I like flexibility in my wardrobe. YMMV

I think the last time I wore a 32" waist was early middle school  (got out of basic training wearing a 36", man I can't believe that used to be my size).

I don't live in a carry state so most of my carrying is around the house, and never all day. However, I have tried various options to see what seems to work.

I never wear jeans anymore anyway (unless I'm washing the car or something similarly dirty) but I do find my Taurus 85CH and Bersa Thunder .380 barely work in jeans. I usually wear casual slacks (like Dockers) or dress slacks and both work pretty well there size wise (though I'd be hesitant to carry either in the real world in dress slacks, the material is too light and so I think the guns are too heavy, I need an alloy snub for that).

32" Wranglers or Lee for casual, suit for work. I don't buy Levis because they support the anti's bigtime.

Smith AirLite 32 H&R for BUG in front pocket, IWB Summer Special with Lighweight Commander XSE for carry.

Spandex bicycle pants when I go cruising for chicks, with the 8-3/8" SW500 carried in front of waistband, tucked deep out of sight. It *has* made me more popular with the ladies :D

Dickie's double knee work pant (with exclusive cellphone pocket!!). Big, fat, close together belt loops, and utility casual without being uncomfortable. With a good belt, my SIG 229 just ceases to exist (Tucker's Answer might help a little with that, though). :)

Leave it to a gear-queer like me to have a thousand dollar carry rig tucked into 25 dollar pants.... sheesh.

I'm pretty much always in Levi's button fly jeans with a Beretta Tomcat in a Mika pocket holster in my right front pocket. Most are size 36 but I've lost a lot of weight over the last couple of years and can fit in 34's very comfortably now. When I got my CHL I learned that I need to have more room in my pants. I was too vain to move up to size 38 so I used it as a reason to loose weight that needed to be lost. Aren't we strange sometimes? All but one pair of relaxed fit 36's have very shallow pockets and because they are quite loose now the pockets tend to hang open and I can look down and see the handle of the Tomcat. The relaxed fit 36's and one fairly new pair of regular 34's have much deeper pockets and don't have that problem. If I can find some other brand that makes button fly jeans I might try them the next time I buy. No I did not have a zipper accident, I just like button flys.

I carry my cell phone in a Ripoffs holster that clips into the back part of my right front pocket and helps hide the print of the bottom end of the grip of the Tomcat. It does not impede my getting the pistol out of my pocket. I've practiced drawing from that pocket a lot and I'll admit that I might scratch the back of my hand in a real panic situation but I don't think it will slow me down.

Old Navy jeans are cheap and fit the bill for pocket carry. A deep pocket with more room to the sides. They also seem to have more room up front for my smart carry set up. I use a Desantis nemesis for the pocket. Using a Kahr P9 and Kahr Pm9, they have worked great for me.

For jeans, I get the el cheapo Wranglers at Wally World= $15 bucks I think. Lately in 36/29 fat-boy sizes. They have BIG pockets. During the work week I wear non-pleated slacks (pleats look terrible on fatboys) with a dress shirt and no jacket. No way to carry concealed like that.

With all the references to 5.11 pants, where do you guys get them? The last place I checked was US Cav, and they were running $50 a pair, a little spendy for me these days.

While I don't wear mine all that often, I ordered mine directly from 5.11. Though I see Midway sells them, they didn't have my size in stock at the time I wanted to order.

I have three pair, and I wear them all the time because they're super comfortable. I got them for $39.99 from an online store called New York Iron Works or something. It's liked from the 511tactical.com dealer's page.

I almost hate to tell people what I'm wearing, because the name of the pant is actually 5.11 Tactical Pant. Then they just think I'm a nut. But seriously, I wear them all every week, in one way or another. I have some jeans from Lucky Brand that I wear when I'm out on the town, so to speak, but everywhere else I'm either at work (where I wear my Dickie work jeans), at home (where I wear the full Fruit of the Loom line -- boxer briefs, wife beaters), or out with friends just dinking around (5.11 pants, Lucky Brand jeans, or my Levi regular old kick around jeans). The 5.11s are easily the most comfortable pairs of pants I have though. By far.

Jeans or Khaki's. I prefer to belt carry my compact .45 but I can pocket carry my M37 in either with Galco leather pocket holster. You really can carry a P3AT anytime. I can carry mine in gym shorts! (Although I'm usually not carrying when I'm in gym shorts.)
One of these days I'm going to get a real holster. I'm using a 'too big' uncle mike's IWB nylon holster that I stitched up on a sewing machine to carry a gun smaller than it was made for. I can always carry with an untucked shirt of just about any type. I have aften carried using this holster with a tucked-in shirt as well, just gathering the shirt around the holster and tucking loosely around the gun. I imagine a holster well designed for this purpose would make a world of difference but I just haven't had the dough$.
