Ya don't wanna know...

Single, male, not at all good looking, fat, bald, poor teeth, halitosis to drop a moose, good job, appreciative of a good beer, non-smoker, conservative, never used any illicit drugs, no debts of any kind, no kids anywhere, never been married, no felony record, no tats, no piercings. Those last three is what makes me unattractive to today's women...

Guns are not that expensive to buy and own. With that said, making more than average money helps when you want lots and lots of 'em.

Pharmacist, age 61, married. House and truck paid for, owe two more payments on wife's car. Got son through 8 years of higher education , 5 years undergrad, 3 years law school( private). Prior military including 7 year in active reserve which paid for my woodworking shop, pro grade equipment and tools.

The son finished law school in '03 so I have been able to indulge much more the last few years, to the point I am having trouble finding places to store them. The wife wants me to get another safe and the one I have is big, but full. At least the son will get to inherit a good collection some day, I'm not leaving any money , planning on spending it on the wife and myself,. We have spent enough on him with his education, were it not for that I could be retired and reallly enjoying life.

Cool Thread

Hi, Im Kevin, and I'm a gun addict.
Anyway, I'm an Union Electrician, 46, married to a wonderful woman who also has a pretty good job. Her stepson already moved out and there are no other children, if you don't count a spoiled Old English Bulldog. Got our house before the boom, so the mortgage is cheap. It's also a serious fixer-upper that will plague me til I retire. All my firearms are purchased with money earned on sidejobs, I make it a point to never touch the house money. If I see something I like, I go wire something for somebody. That's why the wife doesnt mind. Besides, she shoots!:D

An update from a page 1 post. Now 32, kept the gun collection, got a wife, my shooting has been curtailed a lot due to life but it remains a priority and I continue to aquire the resources to continue the hobby.

You are one lucky man. Looks like your wife is a keeper.

I'm 21 and majoring in Computer Science/Multimedia studies. Don't really have a job at the moment, but as soon as school starts up again I'll be the Production Manager for the college newspaper, which pays somewhat better than minimum wage. Luckily, I have enough loans to pay for college, so I can generally use any extra income for whatever purposes I see fit.

I started shooting BB guns at around age six, then moved up to .22's at around 8 or 9 and started hunting soon thereafter.

Currently I own one gun, a Remington 870 Express which was bought with the proceeds from a computer that I had built with a friend from spare parts and then sold. Soon as I start getting paid, I'll likely invest in some accessories for my 870, then start saving for another gun purchase.

40's work in health care field, married, 4 kids, (3 grown) Mange to save enough to buy 1 gun a year or so.

married to same woman for 22 years, no kids, no pets 2nd shift supv. in a box plant. i'm 43 and until the back went 2 years ago acted like an18yr old. only buy 1 or 2 guns a year and wife is very understanding because it comes from overtime money.:)

I'm a 21 year old male, but with my Cerebral Palsy and arthritis I sometimes feel 20 years older.

I received my B.A. this spring and will (hopefully) be starting a job at a law firm next week. LSAT's are in Sept, then law school is next, but I might not jump into that right away.

I'm conservative / libertarian - I hate this new found "nanny-stateism" with a passion.

I own no guns yet, since I'm currently living at home and my parents are hoplophobes who's minds I simply can't change.

Family? I'm single and definately not planning on starting a family anytime soon. Women are crazy. I love em' but they're all nuts. It must be my age group.

What else? - I love my dog, and I have an arrest on my record but no conviction. I'm also a big car guy, but isn't everyone?

I am 35 a recent college graduate and am unemployed at the moment. I am divorced, my truck is paid off, and I won't have to start paying student loans back for a couple of months. I buy a lot of my guns with either windfalls or I will save for them. My dad is nice enough to give me guns on occasion. He enjoys bargain hunting and has more guns than he needs and he knows I need more guns than I have, so it works out nicely for all concerned.

If you must know..... ;)

I'm 45-yrs old, and happily married to my best-friend and gun-collecting partner. We have 2 kids - one of each - and live in a small town in North Carolina. I'm a SAHM and I homeschool my daughter.

My interests include guns, cars and eastern philosophy.

I will turn 57 in a couple of weeks and I'm married to the same lovely lady for 33 years last month. One son. I manage 2 departments and I'm also a buyer for a local department store. I love pistols and enjoy target shooting--great fun, it's relaxing, very challenging, and you meet some fantastic people! :D
