Wife found out how many guns i own

I must be another of the lucky ones. My wife knows how many I have by sight but she doesn't know how many by number. She also picks out guns that she thinks I'll like. The only rule she likes to keep under control is how many guns I buy over $1500

My nightmare is that when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them!

A couple of years ago, my wife purchased a new car, despite my financial advice to the contrary. I've never purchased a new car, and I never will. Particularly, financing a new vehicle is just disgusting in terms of debt / asset ratio.

Anyway.

Now whenever she spies a new gun around the house and asks "how much did that cost?" My standard answer is "Less than your car.".

She's pretty much stopped asking.

I make sure my wife knows about every gun I buy and how much it is worth. If I am ever in an accident I don't want some scum bag scamming her.

I do the same thing...sort of. My wife told me to stop talking about them all the time. I keep pictures in a file in the safe so she knows what everything is worth. She likes to shoot, but she says I am obsessed and she has no interest in long guns what-so-ever.
