After watching Zumbo suffer a hideous death of 10,000 stings, I am absolutely stunned to see Petzal run over and kick the same hive. :what:

Well, maybe the next guy AFTER Zumbo and Petzal will take note.
 
Personal responsibility for what you say huh?

But what about one's actual opinion? So Zumbo and now this guy speak their real thoughts. What happens? We attack them. Is a response necessary to make them accountable? Of course. But what kind of response? 10,000 stings apparently.

That is an interesting point. So let me ask you this. Do you think there are more hunters, or famous gun owners that think along the same lines as Zumbo? And do you think the emotional response that we gave them is going to either A: help these other hunters see the error of their thoughts and fight for us? Or B: just keep them quiet, but not fight for us and not change their thoughts.

I'm thinking it's B. So we strung Zumbo up as an example. What does that do to actually teach others like him? What does that do to help them fight for us instead of against us? Nothing.
 
You know, I just don't understand.

Hunters are always shooters (except maybe bowhunters, and I'm sure lots of them are shooters too), but shooters aren't always hunters. But they are all shooters nonetheless.
Maybe you're not interested in Class 3 weapons, or AR's, or AK's, or SKS's, but in this day, and in this climate, why would any shooter want to restrict the rights of a fellow shooter who is interested in them?
 
How to change the hearts and minds of hunters

Let me see 80 million gun owners in the US. Probably about half don't have a clue about what the 2A is all about and I am being generous.... Today seems like a nice day to change the world so I wonder if can convince all 40,000,000 of them today by going after their employers, sponsors and their personal lives and mounting attacks against their web sites and making life depressing for them that we can get them to see what the second ammendment is all about. That should work...

No?? :confused: I don't get it I know my way is the only truth, the light, the way, the only light of reason how come they can't see it my way? :confused: They own a gun don't they? :scrutiny:

We can fix this we shall band together, as a mob we are stronger. Mobs are what democracy and the 2A are all about...:cool:

We will send them to the black rifle reeducation camps where they will be indoctrinated :what: . Everyone will keep a black rifle under their bed to be ready to spring into action to defend freedom at a moments notice:scrutiny: just like it says in the constitution!!!

Because they don’t think we will sting again. Remember, we are a bunch of uncouth mall ninja’s that have delusions of being #1 in Counter Strike and HALO.

These are the same nut bags that stood around in ancient Rome yelling at the Barbarians, “Hey You! Savage! How dare you do this to Rome? We are the Roman Empire. We are so much better than you. Haven’t you stopped to see what wonders we bring to the world? We’ve brought…” Sentence cut short by the sounds of an ax slamming into a skull.

They are the smartest ones in the room and just because we shot down one of their hot air blimps doesn’t mean we can do it again. It was a fluke.

It reminds me of a scene in a movie where the officer is asking for a report of the battle. The poor guy quizzed responds with something to the affect of “The smoke obscures much.” I always thought that was a time for a person to pop up with a big sign that read, “CLUE!” (Was that “Zulu Dawn”?).

The “Sporties” don’t see the big clue because, quite frankly, we haven’t shown we can do it again. You have to punch out a few bullies before the rest leave you alone. And even then, there will be those who believe so steadfastly in their purity that they will keep yelling, “Hey! Savage! We are hunters! Do you not see that my $5000 shotgun and secluded hunting lodge makes me better than you?”

When the person in the pulpit blasphemes you take the pulpit away. I fail to see the problem with that. It isn't intended to teach him anything. We don't need Zumbo.

I know I've made a few snarky comments about the price of the "sporties" firearms. I don't mean to knock someone for the amount of money they can put into a firearm. I'm just trying to point out that, to them, it's about the firearm and their "comfortable tradition" and not the 2nd Amendment. I hope my illustrating absurdity with absurdity is coming across.

Now to answer the question.

Enough AK's to be listed as a super power buy The Brady Bunch.

I think all the Zumbo hunter types, need to go to Assault Weapon Sensitivity Training... It's down the hall in room 223! :)
 
They say "Don't draw fire; it is dangerous and annoys those around you" but sometimes the temptation is too much to resist.

The mods have thrown out a couple of dozen clue bombs about where this is going but many of you don't seem to notice or care. If you want to win this fight throwing out half of the people who could potentially be your allies is just plain stupid.

You want to galvanize people for real? You want to find out where every last gun owner stands? Come out swinging at all the hunters and sportsmen who don't share your POV and see where that leaves you... They will jump right on the Brady Train for real and start blowing the horn loud and clear. Because they will see them as less of a threat.

These are not people that you want to mess with, good solid Americans that normally don't back down from a fight. They may either be misguided or never gave 2A much thought but that dosen't matter if you drive them straight away and attack them because they don't agree with us. There are much better ways, education is one of them....

Zumbo was caught out in the open and unprepared. He was lazy and he isn't exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer either. That dosen't make him a bad person. The others have seen the hand writing on the wall and are making up their minds. If you go around threatening their living they will make up their mind real quick and it is just as likely not go your way. If you think that you can destroy 40,000,000 people for not seeing things your way than what makes you any different than the Bradys?

David Petzal is not "our" friend. He might be yours, but he sure isn't mine.

I'll personally settle for getting rid of the spokesman for "hunters" and "sportsmen" that actively work to gut the Bill of Rights. Most of the "hunters" and "sportsmen" can be safely ignored because they never get off their duffs to do anything, either for or against the Bill of Rights.
 
Appeasement didn't exactly work in preventing WWII, and we all know that the Brady Bunch won't rest with EBRs.

You fight have to fight it your way

But I never said appeasement or even compromise, I said education.

We didn't just wake up one day with a whole bunch of non-pro 2As in the house next door to us they were there all along. If we try to send them all to the reeducation camps this week things will go poorly.

When they form up the "Hunters for Sensible Gun Laws PAC" or some other idiotic drivel and get the backing of major corporations who want to expand their markets to the non-black rifle owning 95% of America and millions of sportmen and hunters sign up to be a part of something not so threatening and militant don't blame me, you were warned and should have known better.

If you think I am not pissed off you are wrong. But you are going to find that there are a lot of people in this country that disagree with our POV. I have been surprised lately myself, which is really the reason I came to this forum to begin with.

If you want to grab the torches and pitchforks go right ahead, just don't be disappointed when things don't work out exactly the way you planned.
