I'd sure like one in 45 LC too....but the price was right on this 44 mag. I couldn't pass it up.Damon 55, I always liked Redhawks and yours is one handsome gun, those grips really make it. It certainly looks like a "birthday worthy" special gun indeed. Though myself, I'd get it in .45 LC and call it an early present for NEXT year....
The Redhawk would be a great choice. With three different barrel lengths ( 7.5, 5.5 and the 4.2 inch) you can choose the one that fits your needs. And you'll most likely never wear it out.AutoMag.... <SIGH>

You don't have to limit yourself to the caliber = age thing, either.
Once you hit, say, 63, I'd look for a Smith Model 63
32, consider the Glock Model 32, and so on.
This, of course, if you are just looking for an excuse to buy another gun.
