I use these folks. Thinner the steel better the sound. I use shepherd hooks so movable. I'd bet my average distance is 20 yards but I shoot some at 10. Have thicker rifle targets at 50 and 75. I shoot some with shotgun too but not much fun there for me...
Have similar problem with latch, mine protrudes a bit on the bottom so when you cock or fire da it will hang up at times. Pointing gun down first pretty much eliminates issue. Never went through hassle of sending back. Will colt send a call tag?
I enjoy h110 for full power loads and jacketed bullets. Have not played enough with it in lead or coated which I prefer to shoot and use 2400 or unique as not always after highest velocity.
Looks kind of unhandy to me compared to classic turret. I use my left hand to insert brass, bullet, etc and this press has a support where classic cast doesn't. Lots of questions I guess. Priming on the press is very slow for me.
