I have wished Sig would have made a “government model” P238 with a longer barrel and 7 round length grip. I usually use a 7 round mag in my P238 and P238HD. Sadly, not to be. I also wished they would have made a P938 in an all steel HD. The made a few prototypes and listed it in the catalog...
“The owners manual says, "no +p".’
Mine says they don‘t recommend “extended“ use of plus P, or plus P plus, or sub-machine gun ammo. (Emphasis is mine.)
I was a fan of the P95 and remember reading that a form of the same Dow Isoplast that Ruger used for the frame was also used to make some heavy bumpers and large industrial gear wheels. Apparently it is very tough stuff and holds up to a slide quite well. Plus, the Ruger rails, though short...
I find Hogue Bantams to work just fine and they are my choice. Grippy enough but not so much to be problematic. Plus they work great with speedloaders.
They still make the standard LCP. It’s a second generation with a “slightly” more pre-cocked hammer and consequently “slightly” lighter trigger but essentially still the original LCP, I prefer it over the newest LCP II.

I have not read every reply but the CCI Blazer 158 grain .357 is only loaded to 1150 fps from a 4 inch barrel. Sounds like it might be what you want.
edited to add: I see Nullcone beat me to it.
I almost bought a blued Sp101 but instead got one of the black cerakoted ones instead which I like but I’m still hankering for a blued one. I had a blued and a stainless Birdshead 45 acp and I traded the blued one thinking the stainless was more practical but I’m not so sure I wouldn’t prefer...
I may be way off-base here but the Year 2020 should be ample proof that “normal” can go sideways very quickly and without warning. Abundant supplies of every flavor of caliber including the usually ubiquitous 9mm can dry up overnight and a person can quickly need to rely on whatever can be...
