Any recent approvals?

I'm trying to guage the BATFE, which I understand is a recipe for disappointment in and of itself. Nevertheless, anyone recently pick up a form 4 suppressor? I'm curious as to wait time from check cash to approval contact. My check was cashed on December 28, and I had hoped to receive my suppressor approval in time for a July 4 range trip, but no joy. A call to the Federales indicates that it'll be here when it gets here.
Any real world factual info on wait times? What have your recent experiences been?

It looks like there was a huge surge post-election and wait times have crept up from 150 days into about 250 days. They've been stalled out in mid to late December "pending" for several weeks now. So in theory you should be any time. It also sounds like it's taking several weeks from approval to stamp in hand

I've had ten stamps come in the last week, all I signed in early December.

My first two silencers were both ordered in early Aug'20, checks cashed 9/8/20 and 10/21/20, and both stamps came back at end of June'21 (10 1/2 months after purchase). I'm curious whether the process is a little faster once you're been through the system.

Wait........it COULD be faster, and sometimes is.

Submit a bunch of F4's for the same buyer over several months and the most recent submission may be approved much, much faster than the first.
Example: I submitted ten F4's for the same buyer from September 1st- December 12th, 2019. All stamps received by January 28th, 2020. Three different examiners.
So about five months on the oldest, six weeks on the most recent.

I'm guessing that when the first ones were approved, they checked to see if there were others pending for the same buyer.

I'm waiting on two that were sent in mid-December and went pending on 01/05. One of the BATF phone operators I talked to said they are running about 7 months, but who knows.

Back to report I got my call last Friday from the LGS. The Can has arrived!!!

Going to free it from jail today. If anyone is tracking, I purchased through the Silencer Shop mid November of last year, the Federales cashed the check 12-28-20, and I got my call 8-13-21. 228 days.....

Not exactly what you are looking for but just in case it is helpful: Submitted form 1 for SBR mid May. Received approval yesterday.

I got one of my F4 submissions that went pending 01/05 (DA Nomad Ti) in yesterday. Approval was dated 08/05, so at least they mailed it pretty quick.

Still waiting on the other F4 (Rugged Oculus 22) that went pending at the same time. Both F4s were SS single shot trusts.

I happened to call today also.
Got 4 of 'em from 8 APR 2021.
The kind lady told me they are still pending, and that the current rate for approval has been 7 months.
That was a little surprising......in a good way.....

Received my first January submission today.

BTW.....when calculating your "wait time", it's not from the date you bought or paid for your silencer. It's not the date you filled out or signed your Form 1 or 4.
It more accurately determined by when ATF receives your payment for the tax.

Suppressor purchase in March.. hoping to see some action soon, past the 8 month soon. NFA Jail hurts, but nice if you can have a place for ahem.. conjugal visits.
