SF Bay Area, liberal hot bed of anti gun hatred.
I have open carried, unloaded I.A.W with California law in unincorporated areas of SF Bay area when I lived there.
This anecdotal, non-fact based, red herring argument that LAPD / LACSO will shoot on sight is bull****.
If I didnt get drawn down on by the law in SF bay area, it wont happen.... I used to live in Union City - and UCPD saw me open carrying my old Tokarev, after a few gang related shootings occured in the old Decoto neighorhood where I lived.
Certainly, when the patrol car spotted my holster he slammed on his brakes - stopped and questioned me and gave me a minor rash of ****... I was legal and when he saw my USMC shirt and realized that I was both a veteran and a local Firefighter-EMT volunteer, he drove away content.....
I do not wish to engage in the argument and online debate this has spiraled into, however - if you wish to know the ** TRUE ** laws regarding carry in Cali do two things:
1) Visit California attorney general website & research.
2) Check with local PD / sherrifs to see if local ordnance is 'tighter' than California state regs.
Bottom line, if you do not take those two steps in my opinion - you are part of the problem and not the solution. You are simply assisting the Nancy Pelosi radical nutjob liberal / commie cali crowd in spreading ignorance, and 'common knowledge'.
In closing - as gun owners, legal, sane, responsible Americans it is our DUTY to know local gun rules and regs.... every time one of us does not do so we are assisting the tinfoil hat anti gun conspiracy theorist nutjob kooks with their immoral, unfair crusade against us.
