"Got .22 Long Rifle Ammo ?"

I have about 14K rounds to sell and was going to list it on GB but I called the one gun shop we have here and he suggested I put an ad on his bulletin board. He said people check it every day and I'll probably have it all sold within a month even at GB prices. I'm giving it a shot. He wants nothing for use of his board.

It might be worth your time to check your local pawn shop and gun dealer bulletin boards?

Put it on Armslist too. It's like Craigslist, but for guns and ammo and stuff. Simple, fast, no fees; put it in a local section.

^^^ Will do. :)

I may have already mentioned it, not sure, I get different boards sand threads jumbled up in my memory after time...but I listed 4,200 rounds of loose bulk (500 and 550 each) .22lr on Armslist last week and sold it all for $450 cash (10.7 cents per round) very easily in less than a day. I could have had more if I charged more or was willing to wait a few days to sell it to multiple people in smaller amounts.

I'm hoping to get an average of 15 cents per round for the LR and 40 cents per round for the WMR. Crazy prices I would never pay. Until things stabilize I'm completely getting away from these two calibers. If I can raise $3K over the next couple of months it'll tide me over until I can get other funds coming in. I can also buy a .458 SOCOM upper.

Bottom line is I'm OUT of this silly .22 LR/WMR game... at least for now.

Okay... I'm a hoarder. But I bought mine years ago when everyone else could have done the same at a fair price. It's not my fault most folks didn't. I'm not buying at today's insane prices and I don't buy today to scalp or gouge anyone. I will, however, dump the .22 LR I bought years ago at today's crazy prices. Why shouldn't I?
It fascinates me when I hear guys with tons of 22 say I bought it when it was cheap and you should have also. The only reason it was cheap and plentiful was because hoarders were in the minority now they are the majority. It would not have been cheap if everyone bought 22 by the railroad car load. Only because other guys were not hoarders was the only way people build these enormous stashes.

.22 Ammo

I just saw in my latest "Guns & Ammo Magazine" that came today in the mail, an article with a picture of a guy , holding a sign saying, "Will Work For Ammo".

That sort of expresses how a lot of us feel.

If you are worried about getting jacked, just do you Craiglist deal in a location you control....like across the street from your local PD.

I would stay away from Craigs list or any other list like Craigs list due to the chance of running into people who will steal from you. Sell your ammo in a controlled environment or via GB.

That is a risk, of course. It means you are showing up to a location with something of value that they want. Reasonable precautions should be taken, always.

I have met quite a few people to sell everything from .22lr, to powder, to handguns and rifles, however, with nothing but good results.

And Gunbroker means paying to list and paying a fee on the final sales price and paying to ship. Your profit margins disappear in an instant.

Pick your poison

I firmly feel that the O man being unable to get our guns has gotten our ammo. NOT JOKING HERE.

What do you mean "negative"? Do you think there would be this ammo shortage if not for the O man? Everyone knows the agenda - which scares the heck out of people - which creates all the panic buying. The O man might be the greatest gun/ammo salesman in history. Somebody should find out how much stock he owns in gun related companies....
