Of course who needs a gun/guard dog when you have a possessed attack feline unit at home like this one.

our Rott was definately a gun dog. We'd have to be very careful when she was loose and we were shooting. She would try to catch the bullets. I am not kidding you. she would stand beside the firing line, hear your gun go off, hear it hit the target, and then jump in between you and the target to try and catch the next one.

She especially loved paintball guns because she could see those. She'd chase those things all over the place! Truely hilarious to see.

Baby Girl died January 22, 2004 from complications after basic knee surgery. She was 4 years old. May she R.I.P.

Blessed with hounds.

Bernie, Catahoula Kerr Hound/Saint Bernard mix and Daddy's Boy, at 2 months, already showing some retrieving skills for pig-hunting. Those shoes never stayed put, and his big feet should've been a warning to me:

Bernie now, at just over 1 year old, 80 + pounds, miffed that Dad would dare ask him for some space on the couch. Did I mention he's got webbed feet? Can't wait to take him pig hunting in the mud! :

Quinn, Bernie's buddy and Mommy's Girl, Chow/Spitz mix, pure energy, at 2 months, owning the world:

Ms. Quinn now, aka QuinniePooh, sitting still for a millisecond and striking a pose as a 45-pound, 1 year old terror:

Then there's Missy, a Weiner-Spaniel I found trying to get splattered at a busy intersection in Sacramento in 1995. She is the Alpha Female in the G-98 wolfpack, and dominates places like the one under the coffee table. Note Ms. Quinn watching cautiously from the side:
