Had a black lab 20 years ago named Captain Ruger Blackhawk. Called him Ruger for short. Current black lab is Tenth Black King. King for short.

Roscoe
Spandau
Lewis
Walker
Horace or Daniel
Eliaph (Eli)
Mauser
Tikka
Gehwer
Madsen
Uzi
Hakim
Thompson

Our two pitty mixes are named Jimmy (Col. James B. Beam) and Rose (give my love to Rose, J. Cash) respectively.

For gun related names, I would recommend Maggie for a female dog (magnum) and "johnny" or some derivative for a male (john moses browning, dontcha know).

Dog names...

Well, not exactly gun related, but I had a great German Shepherd named LT, short for Lieutenant, and currently own another Shepherd named Gunny-
:D

Thanks for all the replys. This has turned into a great thread!
I haven't been on all day because of work, but I'd like to get a
German Shepherd or a mix Shepherd.

In that case I say Luger, Mauser or Walther

My alaskan husky would have to be named Husqvarna.

Kel-tec has kind of a nice sound for a dog that is small but mighty.

Lothar or Lilja would be good for a barrel-chested lab.

And of course Arf 15 for a black lab

If you needed a specific mauser for your schnauzer, you could call him Bolo.

But I'm thinking Dillon Aero might be best for a registered dog.

And Brno if it was necessary to use a czech line to keep him in close.

I guess, besides my two earlier submissions, I should mention my real dog's name is Brillo (silky-haired Jack Russell) and I have a hyper-goofy Manx cat named Banzai...

okay Shih Tzu if you want to be picky. Poor Brady is getting shots taken at him from the edit mods.

If you name your dog Magnum people will think you're a big fan of 80's TV. Actually it would be a good fit for the Hawaiian shirts everyone seems to like for CCW.

Not sure if some has suggested them or not:
-Moses or Brownie after JMB.
-A.C.P. which I would shorten to CP in use
-Lightening after the old Colt
-Beowulf
-Rimfire
-Nylon
-BreakFree (good one for a beagle or setter)
-Red Dot (for an Irish Setter)
-FMJ (Jay for short)
-Clay

I have a cat named "Mauzer" does that count?

And before you scoff, he's 25 lbs and will beat the poop out of any little "yapper" dog ;)

SPIKE..... it is by far the best dog name in the world... or maybe D-O-G... say out each letter fast.. i kind of like that one..
