Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Just stumbled into this 1981 Marlin Golden 39M Mountie, it came home with me. Must have been someones safe queenView attachment 966913

Ohhh, that is a nice one. I have a 39A Mountie, just a little older. You have a superb rifle there :). Mine has been in the family since new, I forget, I think it is a 57.

I would buy something if there was anything to buy but bare shelves. I did manage to find a Marlin new stock 1895 carrier assembly. I bought it for spare since I have two 1895s. Just in case Ruger goes wonky and redesigns a rifle that does not need redesigning leaving countless thousands of Marlins without spares.

I've had my eye open for an older Ohaus M5 or 10-10 scale in good shape at a reasonable price. Finally landed an M5 that ought to be here next week.

Glock 37, 45GAP, Florida Highway Patrol trade-in (FHP Engraved on slide),w 3 mags, matching box, paper work & brush for....................$353.00 OTD after shipping, sales tax & transfer fee. Left FFL at 6:30 pm on New Year's Eve. Long wait on call in.

Later that evening, bought 2-50rnd boxes Speer 140 gr frangible target ammo for <$47.00 shipped from Bud's.

The ammo will not arrive until after the first, so I'll just sit out the celebratory shooting into the air this year at midnight. d8^)

I purchased/ordered them last week, but some S&W revolver small parts just arrived, in the mail, today, as did a generic-type, ambidextrous C.O.W.S. range holster, that can hold several models of single-action revolvers, and does not look very gun-related if there is no weapon in it. Mundane stuff, yes, but it was a good start, for this day/week. :)

I may shop for ammo, in person, later, after I handle some on-line banking chores.

Picked up a couple more ALG ACT triggers for normal retail price from a Gunbroker seller. That's refreshing. Need to get a couple more JP springs now.

Still need primers!

I have been looking for a light jacket long enough to hide my OWBs for a long time. Did not want Kmart junk, so the search took awhile. Finally settled on an Orvis 2/3 length jacket. It was between that and a Barbour that was twice as much and did not have an interior cell phone pocket.

I bought 3 pounds of powder.
100 Berger 190 VLDs
A Berger reloading manual.

Oh. And a stainless Tikka T3x Lite in .300 winmag.
Ordered a scope mount for it.

400 45LC brass
1000 250gr 452 bullets
Bisley Blackhawk 7.5" 45LC
cross draw holster for above
trigger guard latch retaining clip for my Redhawk

IMG_0455.JPG Ordered this Dec. 21st direct from Hodgdon. Had to pay dearly for haz-mat but I wanted at least a pound because I was low on it and wanted to try it in a 7mm-08 versus my usual IMR-4064 7mm-08 load; at least I have a lot of IMR-4064 but H-380 is a versatile powder that works well in lots of other cartridges also. Just arrived this afternoon. IIRC that's only the second time I ever purchased powder online. Up until this year I could always get powder locally but they're still all sold out.

Found out our Stock and Field (Big R) was closing so I took my gift certificates down and bought an inline muzzle loader for about half price. The ammo I hoped to buy was conspicuous in its absence.
