Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

A box of original Herter's (Waseca, MN) 52 grain 224 jacket ed hollow point bullets. I gave $5 for them even though the original price of $3.49 was still on the box.
Now, load and shoot or put with my memorabilia.
I think the real Herters went bust around 1977 or so. I bought a ton of card and fiber shotgun wads at the Mitchell SD store in ‘75.

Picked up another Springfield 2020 Waypoint yesterday. It’s chambered in 6mm Creed and I went with the steel barrel this time over the carbon fiber wrapped barrel. Planning on giving this one to my daughter, but I’m going to shoot some pigs with it tonight and see if she’s getting this one or if I’m buying another one. 62723A38-17AA-499E-A8AC-0773597656C5.jpeg

That’s one of the few “stock” factory rifles I find interesting.

I’m a fan. The 6 Creed I picked up today is my fourth. Had a 6.5 CM and should have kept it. I currently own a 308, 300 Win Mag and 6 Creed in the Waypoint platform. All of them meet SA’s accuracy guarantee with hunting ammo. The 6 Creed has the roughest finish of the bunch, but still pretty good. Just has some rough finished carbon fiber in a couple places. Seems to shoot well though it’s hard to tell for sure with a thermal scope using a Hot Hand for a target.

I ordered a Ruger American Predator in 22-250 last night and five boxes of S&B ammo. I have a Burris FFII 4.5-14 that's an orphan after I sold my Wby 6.5-300 recently. That'll go on top. My FFL said he has a bunch of once fired brass he'll give me, and I have a bunch of 80's vintage 22 cal bullets and IMR 30-31, plus I was given a set of Lee 22-250 Collet dies, so I'm ready and waiting.

Not for me, but I ordered a 243 die set, a Lee Trimmer and Case Length gauge and a shell holder for a buddy. The die set was backordered! :( Wouldn't you know! Oh well, it will be awhile before He needs them. He occasionally comes over and loads ammo with my equipment while I sit and watch and visit. He provides any dies that I don't have and all of the components needed. My 243 is a tight neck Varmint rifle that I use bushing dies with.

1.5-7X scope for my NEF Handi 45-70. Going to put the same kind on my Rio Grande (scope on lever, ugh, but 80 year old eyes...). Kind of overkill but I got distance lenses with my cataract surgery and opens are out of the question. Work great for trap, my first sport.
Similar to the scope I put on my CVA Scout that I drilled my buck with at 68 yards in November.
Maybe use it in January late season.

Ordered a Crossbreed IWB "Supertuck" holster for my Springfield Hellcat a little while ago. I'm pretty sure it will be my first Kydex holster. I'm not absolutely certain about that though - I haven't looked in my "bucket of holsters" (an old Christmas popcorn tin) in a long time. I hoping this one doesn't end up in there along with all the rest. ;)
