Let the recalls begin. That sure didn't take long, did it?

...... A licensed or subcontracted provided of (say) Miroku quality is in order. Time for a big change at Colt.
So recalling a gun that they are remaking just makes me like my 686 that much more just saying
The 686 was recalled at one point.
Bill? Bill460? Do you work for Ruger? You sure seem to be going after Colt with a vengeance lately. What the hell, we're not gonna need new guns soon, the way the gun control legislation is cranking up about everywhere these days.
But hell, ALL of the S&W 586s and 686s were recalled … so only over a hundred new Pythons? Hey, at least Colt is doing an actual recall. For those SIG-bashers out there, some are still ranting about how there never was an official recall of the 320 subsequent to the whole possible firing-when-dropped thing.
The linked video was excruciating. Guy with the corn-pone accent took ten minutes to relay 30 seconds worth of information.

I also like the miroku idea. As to all the craftsmen being gone, how much do you want to spend? Would you want to pay 4-5k for the craftsmanship of old Colts? Remember S&W never stopped making revolvers so they have a bit of an economy of scale thing going for them. And they aren't cheap. When kimber jumped into the revolver game, with a snubby no less, there price point wasn't far off from these new Colts. I am not a Colt fan per se, but they are a nice revolver. If the company can get over its poor handling of things this new Colt will be a sought after top shelf revolver. So let's see how they work it out. At least they recalled it with only a few samples out the door...I like the miroku suggestion. all the craftsmen are gone in this country.

I don't think the craftsmen are gone. I think the general public is just unwilling to pay for it. In this very context, everybody wants a Python made just like the originals but they don't want to pay more for it.
