I might have forgotten a few. I recently had to buy an industrial strength gorilla shelf just for my ammo. Looking at some of my totals I think I need to stock up a little more.

It is hard to say exactly. I store a lot of my bulk ammo in the crawl space below my house. Without counting every round, I would say my inventory looks like this:

9mm, 100 rounds
40 S&W, 100 rounds
.357, 150 rounds
.44 Mag, 100 rounds
.45 Colt (light loads), 50 rounds
45 Colt (heavy loads), 100 rounds

.22 LR, 650 rounds
.223, 600 rounds
.243 Win, 40 rounds
7.62x39, 1200 rounds
.308, 1500 rounds
.30.06, 250 rounds
7.62x54R, 1200 rounds
8mm, 800 rounds
.45-70 Gov., 30 rounds

.44 Mag, .243 Winchester, and .45-70 are mostly depleted because I was out shooting firearms in these calibers Sunday. After I get done reloading my brass I will have another 100 .44 Mag rounds, 60 .243 rounds, and 20 .45-70s.

I'm at my minimum right now -
7.62x25 - 17 rounds (two full mags and one in the chamber)
.22lr - 550 rounds

I'm already jittery from lack of shooting, but sometimes we have to buy food, no?

Let's see..

550 rounds 9x19
450 rounds 9x18
600 rounds 22 LR
125 rounds 38 special
50 rounds 45 Colt (no gun for them)
20 rounds 30-30 (mp giun for them either)
200 rounds 12 ga
700 BB's
200 177 air gun pellets.

Still over 15k of .22 lr - I stocked up on WMT when it was $15 to $18 a brick.

Rather than do a count and make a list, I'll pose a question. How do you know when you've bought too much ammo? You have over 500 rounds of 28 ga. and don't actually own a 28 ga. :)

About 1/2 to 3/4 of what Preacherman has, but mine is stored in 2 wooden cabinets. :D

Ammo?

Which room? It needs to be spread out in the house since it tends to get heavy.

If I spent time counting, I'd have less time for shooting.

My spending habits

.22lr-2 or 300
.223 2000 fmj, 1 or 200 jhp
.308-250 or 300
12 ga-350 or 400
20 ga-150 or 200
.45acp-5 or 600
.380-250 or 300
plus a lot of lead and a few pounds of bp for the front stuffers
oh, forgot the 1000 of 7.62x39 and two boxes of .303 brit.
and the 1 or 200 for the .357.
that's it. I think.

About 2500 7.62 X39 and a 1000 or less for each 9mm, .40 S&W, .45acp and a few odds and ends. I like seeing all the high counts for the homeland defense rifle calibers. .308, .223, 7.62X39, etc. :)

I bow to Preacherman's ammunition closet. My humble stock consists of:

100 .17HMR
500 .22LR
40 .30-30

1000 9x18 is inbound, and as soon as the revolver gets here, I'll be keeping alot of .38 Special around.

A buddy of mine asked me that at the range saturday.

Loaded in magazines (and a bandoleer for the mossberg), I came up with 813. And I forgot a few guns and magazines, so I'd guess somewhere between 900 and 1000. This is only counting 12 gauge, 9mm, .223, and .45 auto, I probably have more .45 than everything else combined. I'm excluding .22, I think I have six unopened bricks and one partial.

Loose ammo, less than that, but not much less. I've probably got a few forgotton boxes and bricks scattered around the house to make up for it.

My ammo money keeps gettng spent on other things. Rent, cable, lights, food, gas, truck payments, etc.

Every magazine that I'd trust my life to is loaded, along with a few that see range duty only.

.22lr about a thousand rounds
30-06 40 rounds
7.62x39 100 rounds
12 guage 50 rounds
45acp 75 rounds

yeah i need to stock up.

Jeez...this is actually a good question as it brings out what I am running out of and what I have on hand. I am not counting components, btw.

308-2200 rounds
223-1000 rounds
357 mag - 100 rounds (just purchased contender barrel)
300 savage-100 rounds
7-30 waters-100 rounds
45-70- 260 rounds
45 WinMag 300 rounds
30 WCF - 200 rounds
35 Rem- 120 rounds
7.62x54R - 220 rounds
44 Mag - 200 rounds
22 Long Rifle - 1200 rounds

As others have said before me...I have more components than I care to really count...my reloading supplies cabinet looks like the ammo locker of Preacherman...but I have a little more room...not much, though...

24 rounds of .380ACP.

Once those are expended, I'll be using the weapon/ammo of the jerk I just expended it on.
