Is the .270 WIN/150 gr. - Just a Crappy .30-06...?

I like my .243 for chucks and yotes. Popped one deer w a diff .243, bullet choice might not have been the best. Worked, but not as well as I liked. Changed the next yr and nothing big enough to shoot. Wont condemn a cartridge over a sample size of one LOL.

Will say, my 35 rem w 200gr seems to get the deers attention better

Told myself that for a year.

And then I sold the .30-06 for a .270 WIN... and my shooting improved.

...then I put a recoil pad on it.

In hindsight, the recoil pad may have saved the .30-06 as a bolt rifle hunting round for me.

But it sure makes the .270 WIN a sweet all-day shooter.

GR
Yeah the .270 is a great gun for the wife and kids.

If you're trying to get their attention, you need one of the blank guns that essentially uses a .22 blank to ignite a screaming bottle rocket for pest ummmmmmm "removal"/harassment? THAT will get their attention quite well! Personally, we just like them to be dead before they realize we're there, or at the very least, before they realize we're a threat ;)
