Probably not the loudest, but the most annoying gun I've shot is my nieces Glock 33 in .357 SIG.Even with ear muffs, after 30 rnds at an indoor range, it made me sick to my stomach and slightly dizzy.

The loudest guns I have fired are 12gauge and rem 700 7mm rem mag.
- no hearing protection.

The loudest gun I have been around was a 300 win mag. I was at the range and a guy came to get it ready for elk hunting. I left until he finished, even with my muffs on it was still to loud.

My 686 + .357 Magnum makes a nice big boom.

The 9mm fired in a bedroom with no hearing protection. I STILL have hearing issues from that.

The loudest gun I've personally fired on a range was either a .300 Win Mag with a pretty substantial muzzle break or a .450 Marlin lever action.
Loudest I've been close to was either a RPG, a Soviet mortar, or a Soviet WW2 vintage AA gun.

It's funny, I have a m44, a bfr in .500 mag, and an FAL, but I think the loudest would hafta be a little semi auto .22 mag my father has, only a 2" barrel, bigger fireball than the m44 ever thought about, no lie

Well, a lot of folks have posted about military stuff, although I'm not sure that was the original intent...

Loudest for me was a 3" gun on a LPH. I was just an Electrician's Mate, so I can't recite the actual designation for that thing. It was a long time ago, but I do remember being very grateful that someone warned me to put on some kind of hearing protection.

A friend of mine has an M44 with an '74-style muzzle brake on it.
There are streaks of the lane dividers free of paint because of that thing.

Ok, excluding the military stuff, the loudest I've fired was a friends 460 Weatherby Mag. Hurt the ears and the shoulder! The only gun I've ever turned down a second shot!

I hear ya on that one, abq87120. I spent 13 years in a 110 battery in the Guards, my hearing went south so bad that when we were activated they medicalled me out, but the VA claims my hearing was bad when I went in??? Yeah, ok...
