This took place in the state of Tennessee.
I went to a local pawn shop, looking for my first handgun, and found a new pistol at $209. Good deal for what it was. My license doesn't reflect my current address (though it's been updated online and I've since paid for a new one via mail). I explained this to the employee, providing additional documentation showing my current address. However, when he gave me access to the electronic 4473, he told me not to differentiate my address on the form from what was on my license. I haven't lived at the address on my license for about a year (though it isn't very far away from me). My transaction was denied and he asked if I'd like to appeal it. I said yes, (not thinking about the 4473 and how I should have probably read it closer) and he filled the appeal out for me and faxed it. When I obtained a copy of it, I noticed he put my mailing address as my actual current address, and on my current address, put the one on my license. I'm really trying to cover my a** here, as I don't want any problems with TBI, FBI, or ATF. What should I do in this situation? If anything?
