Should i trade my cz-75 for a glock 17?

I agree with Cheapshooter's rules. Never sell a gun.

You may wait another few months or a year, but then you'll have a custom-trigger CZ AND a G17!

piece of meat

You didn't specify Omega, which is different. My hammer kits are for the original DA/SA and decocker versions. The $68.00 hammer mod is my KIT1. I have an Omega on the way for dissection, but as of now, I have nothing for the Omega.

The Omega trigger is way better than a Glock trigger. Just my useless 0.02 cents. I would never trade a CZ for a Glock but it sounds like you've made up your mind.

I would make the trade. I've had several CZ-pattern pistols, and I could never keep them running reliably.

"CZ pattern..." Meaning clones?

Mine were CZ's not clones. Worst, most unreliable guns I've ever owned. Most overhyped, overrated gun on the net. Just do a search here and on other forums and pay attention the number of posts from guys who have issues with CZ's. You will find more than any other gun. Considering how uncommon they actually are that is saying a lot.

The CZ fanboys are so in love they cannot see the warts.

I own a Glock 17 and I really like it but I would say keep the CZ and buy a Glock when you have the money for one. I sold my CZ-75BD a few years ago and I've regretted it ever since.

I would'nt do it. You can buy a used G17 for not whole lot more then your talking about spending on the trigger job.

Now that is a troll and a half post if I ever saw one. :D

I've owned several CZ's since 1998, and have never had trouble with them. I carry a PCR daily, and trust my life to it. I guess I just got lucky.

You have a gun that you know is reliable; problems that others may have had with individual CZ's are irrelevant. There is no company that doesn't turn out an occasional lemon, and that includes Glock. I would not trade a reliable gun for a gun I didn't know.

Well, your logic of a single platform that shares mags and controls does make sense. But only you can decide if it works for you.

I think you'll regret it. Just watch for a $200 police trade G17 and snatch it up later.

Let me know who has these...I will order a few....:neener:

You will end up regretting it. The trigger on my 75BD isn't particularly brilliant, but it's OK considering. Oddly, I've never thought that a stock Glock trigger would be an improvement. I also agree with the buy & hold strategy with guns.

Keep you cz, its a great gun. How many rounds you have they it? Trigger get smoother with use. Also you can polish some parts to make it better. Check cz's forum, there is a how to with pics to tell you exactly what to do.

I bought my cz SP01 Phantom August 23rd by the end of November I had 7/8k rounds thru it without any problems. That gun is reliable and more accurate that i'll ever be

Keep shoving rounds through that CZ. Best trigger job ever. The trigger on my 75B-Mil is better than on the 1911 I used to have. The only work I did was several thousand rounds. I would have been shooting those anyway, so the smooth, sweet trigger was an added bonus!

Unless one wants to "bag carry" the Glock is better more modern tool. If I owned CZ75 I would probably keep it if I had to buy new gun it would be Glock.

Oh, yeah, and buy a Kadet Kit .22LR conversion. It fits on any CZ-75 based gun. I think they even make one for the Omega trigger system now. Mine pretty much lives on my 75B at this point. It is fun, accurate, reliable, and the round count helps smooth out your trigger for the price of .22's.

If you want to sell your CZ I don't think you will have trouble finding a buyer. ;-)
I would not sell a gun that works either. I have an old S&W 659. Never a failure.
Two Browning Hi-Powers. Never a failure. CZ 85B. Never a failure. I have owned other brands that have had failures that were not mag, ammo, or shooter related. I had the manufacturer go through them and then I traded them.

I have to say with my fairly new CZ I have never fired it double action. I operate it like it is a Hi-Power and fire it single action. Trigger is just fine.

Following the same belief of never selling a gun that works, I would save for the Glock.

You guys are missing the most important question that MUST be asked:

So, uh, how much you want for that P.O.S. CZ?
Maybe I can take it off your hands.... :D

I always wanted a Glock, but they don't fit my hand and I can't shoot em for diddly. If you want it though, save the rest and get it. I wouldn't sell the CZ.
A gun in the hand is worth two in the gun shop...

That's a shame you've had such a bad experience with CZ. Totally different experience with my CZ's. I have two with Omega triggers. A 75B and an SP01 Phantom. Both have shot thousands of rounds without a single problem. Fantastic ergonomics and wonderful triggers. Better triggers, IMO, than any stock Glock I've owned or shot.
